According to last night's Pre-Rec stream, that was a real fire that happened because Mike put a firecracker in the Popcorn machine.

Hilarious. Got some Simpsons flashbacks with the popcorn maker.

Really funny episode. As someone who is starting to get really sick of Star Wars (it's freaking everywhere! I love pizza and burgers, but I'd start to hate them if I had them everyday), this was cathartic. It was also hilarious.

They keep hitting them home runs.

I started cracking up when mike reads Lobot's backstory.

The best part is that Mike makes up some parts of the backstory on the spot, but the rest of the stuff is so stupid and his additions fit so well in that you can't tell what's real from what's fake.

For example, Lobot actually helped steal the Emperor's personal yacht, but the yacht was not called "The Galactic Terror". Also, the entire section about Lobot's sit-in and the discrimination against cyborgs is fake, but it all sounds so real. It's stupid, but so was the "Emperor Palpatine Surgical Reconstruction Center".

Was the description of Vader's suit and the medical center fake too?

My guess would be that the stuff in the Darth Vader suit episode was all real (the EmPal SuRecon Center is definitely real), since the entire video was about making fun of the stuff in the Star Wars EU and how ridiculous some of it was.

After showing how ridiculous the EU could get in that episode, it made it easier to sneak some additions of their own into the backstories, since they weren't any more ridiculous than what came before (Poe's Law). They would have only gotten away with it if the Darth Vader video was completely real. I don't think anyone would have fallen for the stuff in Nerd Crew 5 if that original video wasn't all real information.

That moment where Jay reads from a script when he says Justice League will be good had me dying. I also need a gif of Mike saying DC is a thinking mans comic film asap.

In the trailer reaction you can just make out Mike saying "It's a porg! It's a porg! I love porg products because they tell me they're cute!"

I love how they manage to make each episode unique and make fun of a different aspect of nerd culture. This one was mainly trailer reactions at the start (and how they're all basically the same, which is something they've dealt with before) and then the DCCU in the second half.

Mike's sarcastic describing of DC movies as the intellectual super-hero movies is so on-the-nose and accurate that its scary. I've met people like that.

I also love how they put Kylo Ren's mask on the Darth Vader doll. The R2-D2 sticking out of the wall is another nice touch.

Anyone else here who would actually watch Mr.PiggyEats if it were real?

Watch Da Birdie

I buy cakes for myself on my birthday it's not weird lots of people do it I bet
That back-and-forth between Mike listing off the Star Wars pattern and Rich going "don't forget Infinity War 2!" was amazing. All in one take it seems and Mike nailed keeping a straight face through it.

What were the words that got "blipped"?
