I've been to a few in the past with friends, normally on events like stags or birthdays. The worse was in Blackpool,uk. Got dragged in by my mates as it was my birthday and they paid a girl to give me a dance. Was one of the most akward moments of my life as I wasn't gestured to a private room or anything. She just stripped off right there in front of me while all my friends looked on and laughed at this girl trying her very best to get me aroused.

I can see the appeal of going to a club where you drink normally and there's just attractive dancers with their clothes off around you, but I don't get the tipping/private dance thing.

Yeah I've been to a few...it's usually just awkward. The girls will try to sell you a dance by sitting next to you, flirting with you, etc. It just comes off as fake and uncomfortable (some people, like the OP, fall for the act, though).

I'd say $300 for a stripper is pretty high end though.
It does annoy me when people do this. I know a few cam girls who are labelled as whores and sluts, simply because of their line of work. It really grinds my gears, as they are some of the sweetest, smartest people I know. Same goes with some escorts I know. Sex shaming, slut shaming, and kink shaming does not have a place in society.

Probably been said but try going to Thailand OP. For well less than 300 bucks you can not only spread the cheeks but also put your fingers inside their butthole.
Also China for not strip clubs exactly, but KTV with girls that can get naked and do choreographed dick rubs. Or go to the upscale ktv and pay 500$ to have a girl that is all plastic surgeried up to look like a supermodel sit with you and feed you fruit and alcohol and wipe your forehead with a napkin if you feel sweaty. You can touch their leg but can't spread the cheeks without an additional $1500 or so to take them home for the night.

So I've been laying low in here because it occured to me after I woke up and my henessy had worn off that I was taking an L and okay I accept that. Ls are part of life.
The one thing that irks me in here are the people saying "hur dur you should of bought an escort" or just dragging sex work in general. You can go to a strip club and not want to hire a prostitute. It is an amazing atmosphere to have a bunch of crazy lights, loud music and butt naked ladies walking around. It was a great club and I don't want to break the law and pay for sex nor potentially have her lose her job. I hate this idea how indulging in legal adult entertainment is automatically trashy.
I still think one of them was into me but whatever. You can be a stripper and enjoy dancing on a hot client with a lot of money. I'm not saying that she was down just that she liked me and thought I was cute. I'll go back and see her next weekend.
