All I've played on 2K15 and forward has been ranked online match making. Any tips if I want to try MyTeam mode? Is there any way to play a "draft" mode like Madden has where you make a team with random packs and then play a best of 7 games and work up to a championship and then do it again? Or is it just a consistent team you're creating?

The jitter seems to appear in every camera mode I've tried. It's really noticable and messes up shot timing because it's so inconsistent.

I tried changing my email address in the options, and it didn't send one again. This email address was with a different provider, so it can't be the ISP blocking it or whatever. I've put in a support ticket.
Honestly I think I'm going to stop playing the Switch version until there's a patch anyway. The busted cutscenes are killing any enjoyment that could be had from the career mode since you can't even skip them, and I don't really care about online so much. Tried restarting the Switch, and the cutscenes are still like 10-15fps with out of sync audio.

I never bought an NBA game but playing this in portable mode looks pretty dope. Damn this machine is draining my wallet.
Yeah, given the horror stories I'm hearing I've not even started any of the career type modes. I'm just playing single matches as practice hoping for a patch.

You should try the offline career/gm mode. You can make your dream team and go through multiple seasons with them. You can even rename and rebrand them. The Kings getting the championship run stolen from them has formed me into the hateful husk I am today, but now I can exorcise my demons when and wherever I want!

Is everything in that mode working okay right now? None of the horrible cutscene shenanigans? And can you earn VC playing it?
Don't think it's tied to VC at all. It's pretty much just an open sandbox to do what you want. I don't connect online cause the switch disconnects everytime you undock, so you're at risk of losing progress in the middle of one of those dumb cutscenes.

It's pretty much the old myplayer mode with no stupid cut scenes, bulid the player pick a team go play, and you can still upgrade your character but you won't earn vc.

I have the same issue. Other games it is quiet but this game makes the console loud as hell.

Docked or undocked?
Having played most of the previous entries on 360 makes it even more confusing since they share the xyab face buttons. Really hope they add the option to have them color coded.
Also, they made the game harder, on top of making the shot meter harder to pull off. Definitely will take some time to adjust. I'm getting beat by the Pro ai, and I used to play at superstar on my last 2k game.
By the way, I recommend going to scrimmage in 2ku, and practicing your shot release. Spent an hour last night, and it was very helpful.
Pretty cool that you're taking a liking to the sport. I used to play a lot in summer leagues growing up.

Um the PS4version is taking an extraordinary long time to download (like 10-12 hours or something) Look like my connection is 30/30 in Philadelphia Comcast.

I do love how disinterested the response options make me seem in hanging out with D'Angelo Russell.
I also find it pretty funny that Shammy, your character's fictional vet, is my team's highest scorer as he benefits from all my sick screens and assists.
I'm not sure of the correlation, but since turning the difficulty all the way up to hall of fame from pro, I've gone from bricking constantly and putting up 0/0/0/0 stat sheets to getting a double-double every match, and nearly a triple-double once. Maybe try it out if you're getting frustrated?
When the season starts it lists the games that are happening that day in real life so you can play them without having to do the set up yourself.

The slow motion cutscenes, audio skipping and periods where the audio just cuts out completely mid cutscene on Switch are absolutely inexcusable. It plays a great game of ball but it should not have been released with a core part of one of its most popular game modes being so fundamentally awful - people play My Career for the story, that's the whole point.
Walking down a tunnel in slow motion and with audio desyncing or sometimes just disappearing completely is flat out bad and 2K shouldn't be defended for it. Needs an urgent patch.

Oh great, VC doesn't even save correctly after a game half the time. Was supposed to have 1100VC after the game and I go to access my player and it says 800 it seems to have given me half the VC. Even the basic fucking feature that we use to upgrade our characters doesn't work. This a secret ploy to have me buy shit?
I really wish Live had better gameplay because none of us would even look at 2k and their anti consumer shit if the actual gameplay wasn't so damn good

rofl, loaded my game up and it's sent me back to the first cutscene after your tryout with the team. Fucking hell.
Unskippable cutscenes and the grind is bad enough but deleting all of my progress randomly?
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck 2K.
Its a case of pick your poison really.
Docked runs maybe slightly worse but it didn't have the cutscene bug in career mode. Just audio popping on audio through HDMI.

Agree 100%. Clearly they didn't test before release or release with known bugs.
I got the same notice, but luckily found the e-mail in the SPAM folder.
To add to the second point, the MyNBA 2k18 app on Android does the same shit, you can't log on with the Nintendo account. Not even with the e-mail, just the PSN, Xbox or Steam.

Aight guys, just found out an easy way to get 800 VC. What u need to do:
1. Start a new MyLeague
2. Pick a team
3. Pick Simcast
4. Simulate untill the last minute (like final 20~40 seconds)
5. Jump into the game
6. Let the game end
7. GG, easy 800 VC onto ur account
Somehow u only get 100 VC for the games after, so what I do is after simming a game, I check in MyTeam my VC balance, delete the MyLeague save file and just make a new one and u will get 800 VC for the first game again. Just made 5k in a couple of minutes lol, gonna max out my character in no time.

Player contact feels more natural now which makes it easier to sneak your way into the basket when you try to drive
Did they remove the Smart Play option? I didn't run plays all the time in 2k17 but when I do, i didn't want to go through 6 pages of plays as the shot clock was running down so i always pick the "Smart Play" option that just auto picks a play to run for you. I can't seem to find it anymore. Without it, im just gonna run PnR more i guess when i get the game myself lol

The triple threat is so good this year. I'm having so much fun playing with the Knicks and iso Melo. They finally managed to nail Melos playstyle in the game. Bullyball on smaller players feels good and the pullup game is really smooth too.
I have played a ton since release and there is only two things i want fixed. Too many missed layups and the "good" release when wide open seems broken(and on free throws). I have missed more "good" releases than slightly late or slightly early. It's really weird.

Made it to JV on play online, but that framerate bug is killing me as well no VC payout. The Suns are a money team so far against other tier 5s like the Lakers. So many Laker games so far lol.
Started as a rim protector in my player but started over as a sharpshooting point forward and I much prefer this build. Walk-on pro-am is where it's at. Almost 1000 VC a game with a W. Which is pretty easy if you have a competent team.
Gameplay is fucking amazing this year, just gotta iron out all the glitches. C'mon TakeTwo, Use some of that microtransaction money and invest in some fucking QA
