The only thing I will agree with is that the US Super Nintendo IS fucking ugly. Like I love it because I grew up with it but goddamn the Super Famicom is so much better looking.

SNES works spoken though. It can be read individually too, but clearly doesn't need to be, and isn't "officially" referred to as either. It's being officially implied as Snes right now though.
