In the end, we’re just grinding this game to get a higher numbered character... makes no sense. Iron Banner may be the only thing that will benefit from having a higher PL.

Anyone taking / want to take a shot at Callus today? It's the only thing in the raid I haven't completed. Tried for two hours on Wed and couldn't get him past 1/2 health (we kept having stupid deaths, and it was laaaaaaate). Assuming the little one let's me play I could try in the early afternoon or after 8pm EST. I'd offer to run the thing but my schedule is so fluid I can't do that anymore . I don't expect to have hours and hours to throw at him.

Thanks for the heads up GraveRobberX, been stuck on 270 for a while now!

Supposedly they're a little buggy. You have to wait a bit or something in between opening them. But I mean what you're buying is basically just a chance at a legendary/exotic engram, not like you do much. Pay 4.5k glimmer, and the exact spot is on your map. The whole treasure map thing was kind of a letdown tbh, could've been a legit treasure hunt or something.

Interesting, next time I run them I'll do one a day and see if that helps.

Yeah, every 30 minutes it will cycle.

I don't think your understanding it properly

It helps more if you reach cap, but it helps others if you have Tokens to burn and time, every 30 minutes it will cycle to a new Engram PL #

So if your PL 291, your differential will be 281 to 286
So Legendary Engrams will cycle differently for everyone

Every 30 minutes after giving 20 Tokens, that Engram will switch to a different PL
So within 2.5 hours, it should hit 286 for you.
Could be earlier or could be the full limit or more

Then you buy as many Packages in that 30 minute window.

It changes every :00 and :30.

So at least you can push guns up to 286 +5 mod or bring stuff you like up, same with exotics.

The great reason to do it at 305, is you will hit 300 Engram just like in my picture
Then I bought a fuckton of packages, roughly 15-20
Then infused 300 Weapons and Armor into things.

Sent 300 Weapon infusion material to other 2 characters and their weapons
Now all 3 Guardians have roughly 20 Legendary weapons @305. Almost every Exotic (maybe 2-3 weapons left to upgrade to 305)

Armor on the other 2 is the only problem that they can't share class armor wise like in Destiny RoI


Also Daily Reset; Shaxx still 299, Gunsmith 297.

um what? Honestly grinding D2 from 200 to my current LL.from my personal experience...I dont die nor get get beat up as much when I was at 200 opposed 295LL. I can literally feel the progression of my character as my LL goes up. I feel a bit more powerful than before. The game never felt the same..it always fluctuates and caters to your LL.

My luminous engrams somehow decreased 80 power level. I just hit 298 and my luminous from cayde is at 210.

Has anyone experienced this? I have 2 characters, but they are not the same class.

agree, and this is one thing i always disliked about destiny. you never really feel powerful in relation to your supposed light/power level. i'm not saying i want to be one shotting bosses but at least let me feel some "growth" against fodder enemies.

I don't think Destiny was every meant or designed to be a daily grinder. It's a come on back for the DLC design. Which imo is great. I don't understand why some folks say "after 120 hours (or more, or a month worth of play) they are done but will come back for the dlc. That's exactly what they want? And I'm happy to do it. I can come on back when I want but play something else inbetween. It's perfect

not sold on this. the less time you spend playing, the less likely you are to spend money on MT/Eververse and some of the design decisions show they want you to spend money on MT/Eververse

Nightfall is doable. Use lfg and put no mic in the description. You should get invites.

Raid needs a mic pretty much. Especially if it's your first time.

It shouldn't take you a lot of time to hit 270. You can use the Gunsmith legendary engrams to get to 260 easily and from there the exotic quests which I hope you have saved. Even then 260 is enough for NF and raid.

Then subtract -10, that will be the lowest, -5 from your current PL will be the highest the Engram can be

So if you hit 305, 300 Engram should cycle as a vendor package for 30 minutes, I'm waiting on Nessus right now

So far it's been 296, 299, 297, 298 at the moment
So 2 hours so far, now hoping 300 is next slit up in cycle, if not, that means the PL can fluctuate back to another # already seen

Any Tower Vendors are capped for me, they dont shift Engram wise. Shaxx and Vuvuzala are 299, Gunsmith 297.

It shouldn't take you a lot of time to hit 270. You can use the Gunsmith legendary engrams to get to 260 easily and from there the exotic quests which I hope you have saved. Even then 260 is enough for NF and raid.

I've completed all the exotic quests I had. I leveled up just doing the stuff I wanted to do.

The drops are terrible. You may have levelled up 10 ( I find that hard to believe honestly ) but for the average drops , no way your levelling that fast

So this is coming from a day one Destiny 1 player a a Destiny 2 player with all three classes over 300 currently. While your power level is technically high enough to enter the raid, you’re going to have a hard time against enemies. Each raid encounter goes up in light level, ending at 280 with the final boss. My group took one of our friends through who was 262 and he had trouble not dying frequently, as well as having some DPS issues during damage phases at a few encounters.

It is certainly doable if you have a good a high light team around you and if you’re a really competent player. Your issue is going to be finding a group willing to take you on LFG if you don’t have a group of your friends that you’re going to go in with.

The nightfall at 266 is totally doable. Just play a bit more conservatively and ideally get a team that has a good idea about where all the anomalies are to get max time.
