I'd get Odyssey for sure if I had a Switch but as it stands this I'm not getting anything this month - or possibly for the rest of the year... Going through the backlog has shown me tons of great games I've bought but never touched. So I'll wait for price drops on the current stuff while I work my way through it :)

Pre-ordered

AC:Origins
Southpark TFBW

I'm afraid I can't play Evil within 2 , but I would buy 1 to support the developer.

Forza 7
Fire Emblem Warriors
Super Mario Galaxy
Destiny 2
Free w/ 1080Ti
Gran Turismo Sport or Assassin's Creed Origins

I'm prbly not even gonna get to most of them this year, my girl is gonna have a blast tho!

Mario and shadows of war. Though I only bought shadows of war to burn some g2a credit from selling unused keys. Would have waited until next year otherwise.

I had no idea Dragon's Dogma was being remastered until I entered this thread

I've never even played a DD game, but I'm mega pumped to try it

That's actually relatively tame compared to other months this year.

But yeah, Dragon's Dogma and Mario for me. Maybe Wolfenstein 2 if I manage to buy and beat the first one in time.

From that list in OP it doesn't look like there is an overwhelming amount of games to play.

I'll get Mario.

Pre ordered Wolfenstein 2 and Destiny 2 PC. Looking forward to some fun shooters.

Considering getting, A.C. Origins and Forza 7 if they turn out well specifically on PC. Same for The Evil Within 2.

Nothing.
I will ask Wolfenstein as a gift for my birthday, but it will be on the first week of novemeber, and will wait Evil Within to be discounted in the next months.

Will take my time to play Danganronpa V3 (30 September) and play many games in my backlog.

Super Mario Odyssey.

I've preordered South Park a year ago so I'm technically getting that too. Hopefully ubisoft store delivers it to Finland for the release day.

Sooooo wanna get Evil Within 2 but I'll have to wait and get it later, maybe on sale. Can't really justify two game purchases per month at the moment.

took a look at OP's list, nothing amazing if you ask me
the only thing i have any interest on is battle chasers

Maybe Middle-earth, I dunno yet.

For sure The Evil Within 2, South Park: The Fractured but Whole, Destiny 2 for PC, Assassin's Creed: Origins, Super Mario Odyssey, and Wolfenstein II.

If the seller holds up his end of the bargain I'm getting a real cheap Xbox One S tomorrow and I will then be getting Forza Motorsport 7

While there are a bunch of games that I'll likely play over the next year or so, I imagine that the only one I buy at launch will be Mario.

I still haven't touched Horizon, Prey, Uncharted:LL and a bunch of smaller games....the backlog is particularly strong right now.

What's with all the Wolf love? What other shooters does it compare to?

I don't know what to compare it to besides Wolfenstein: The New Order. New Order had a reasonably okay story, a likeable cast of characters, a single but effective instance of binary choice and consequence that has an effect on not just the entirety of that game but (presumably) this one too, villains who are enormously fun to kill with great guns that are a joy to use in both stealth and action gameplay... it's just a very well crafted shooter married with a palatable narrative.

Some shooter fans probably find the narrative parts long winded, but for its fans they're definitely a big part of the draw. If it sounds appealing I'd definitely recommend starting with the first game. It can usually be had for pretty cheap during sales, and I think was $10 with its DLC a few days ago on bundlestars.

I was away while Destiny 2 released and meant to get it at the start of October, but now it seems the buzz has died down a bit, I might wait until the first expansion.

This month I'm getting a SNES mini (so I can finally play FF6), Hellblade, South Park and The Evil Within 2.

Not much next month surprisingly... at least at retail.
There will inevitably be some gems released digitally.

INSTA-BUY

South Park: The Fractured But Whole {PS4}
Super Mario Odyssey {Switch}

I'm going to hold out for the Switch port of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.

Everything else is pretty much dependent on reviews and GAF impressions... and I'm not especially optimistic.
This will probably be the most barren quarter of the entire year for me in terms of PS4 title purchases... which suits me just fine.

Nothing, haha :( I'm interested in Cyberdimension Neptunia, Fire Emblem Warriors and Super Mario Oddesey, but I don't have a PS4/Switch. I'll probably get a Switch in december or early next year though, since I already pre-ordered the CE for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 so I'll get those Switch games a little later.

October will probably keep me occupies with Metroid Samus Returns and the SNES Mini, along with some older stuff I still have to play.

Already bought Destiny 2, Wolfenstein is a must.

I might get Evil Within 2 but I have to confess the premise of the series itself bores me to tears, so that might be a sale wait.

Shadow of War
South Park
Wolfenstein
Mario Odyssey

Not sure how I'm going to play all that, considering Total Warhammer 2 is coming this week....

September flat-out killed me with new releases. I'm not opening my wallet until Odyssey, though if certain indies show up on the Switch on very short notice, that may change.

I may have to wait later in the year or into next to make my purchases due to the C7 acquisition and the upcoming XBOX, but so far I'm looking into:

  • South Park: The Fractures But Whole
  • The Evil Within 2
  • Super Mario Odessey
  • Wolfenstein 2 New Colossus

Assassin's Creed Origins and Shadow of War are subject to reviews/impressions and are likely to be held off on.
