Colin Moriarty Says White Supremacy/Racism Doesn't Exist Because Asians

I've been following the guy since IGN and since he left the gaming industry and went into politics, I've watched his videos and I lean a lot farther left than Colin does on most issues but these live video debates, he has always been nice, cordial, and has treated people with respect. I'm sure there are instances where he has lost his shit on people on Twitter and I have definitely see him come off holier than thou more than once, but I never got any indication than he has deep hatred in his heart for large groups of people. If someone want to disagree, fine, I'm not going to make judgements about people that do. We simply have different opinions of an individual.

Ah yes, respectability politics. he may be saying awful odious things about whole groups of people, but he's being polite.

The great thing about Colin getting out of games is that I pretty much never have to see his fucking dogshit views on anything anymore. Hope his patreon continues to decline and people realise what a moron he is.

He’s incredibly insecure. He’s triggered over everything and insists on getting the last word in. I can’t believe people pay money for him to talk nonsense.

y'all should be ashamed
I don't think you can fully appreciate Colin's intelligence until you read his rebuttal towards the new YouTube redirect standards that went live in August:

What's getting to me is that as dimwitted as Colin's argument is, his views are probably still to the left of the typical gamer I encounter online outside of GAF.

Stormfront won, seriously, this hobby is so fucked

Colin Moriarty is the human embodiment of one of those little terrified yapping lap dogs.

Why are all these people using YouTube like Google/Wikipedia though?

The more I read it the less makes sense. Why would someone searching for Hitler's rise to power get a playlist about the "56 genders"?????

If you need more evidence that the man is stupid, here it is.
He can speak clearly, but that doesn't make him smart. He speaks clearly, but the only words coming out are complete moronic shit that he found up his own ass.

The problem with "just having different opinions" is many of those "opinions" actually hurt large groups of people, work to bring others into hate groups, used to manipulate others and voting to remove civil rights. If "just personal opinions" only encompassed choosing cake or ice cream in splatoon then it would be a fine position to take. That's not the case in today's climate.

And if he says something hurtful or disrespectful I will(and have) criticized him for it plenty of times. In this instance, I read the tweets honestly have no idea wtf he's talking about. Not sure what he's even referencing, or why he tweeted it. I'm not agreeing with or supporting these comments. All I did was share my opinion on Colin Moriarty the person, from what I have learned from him over the years, and people basically inferred "If you don't hate Colin Moriarty then you must be a racist and support Trump" which is crazy.

I didn't get on a high horse and say "Anyone who doesn't like Colin is an idiot, he's amazing!" Quite the opposite, I acknowledged why I can understand why people dislike him. I'm not one of them, I thought it was actually pretty innocuous.

I'm so tired of people using the excuse "hes being polite about his racists and sexist rhetoric" to justify just having a different opinion.

The thread is discussing yet another instance of his clearly racist views, so any post that ignores that while praising him for qualities he frankly does not have will be viewed with suspicion. I would like to believe you understand that, at least.

Colins on GAF isnt he? I wonder if he will come say hi.

Don’t think he’s posted since the KF split. He’ll probably just complain about Gaf on twitter or in YouTube comments

There's the issue. This isn't innocuous. This is a big deal, and Asians being held up as a model minority has been used as a tool of white supremacists and racists for decades to beat other minorities into silence and claim that their problems are theirs and theirs alone, there is no system holding them down. This is an incredibly toxic view. Think about why that is and you might realize why everyone assumes if you don't hate Colin Moriarty, then you must be a racist and support Trump. Because he uses the same coded language that racists and Neo Nazis use to appeal to people like you, who don't see the implication of what they are saying. You think it's harmless observations, but minorities and racists know exactly what he's saying

If I watch one YT video on gender I get recommended ONLY videos about how a feminist got "rekt" or the wage gap is debunked, or a "logical atheist" "destroys" and SJW or some bullshit about beta males.

For a guy who likes to project himself as a rational thinker, this shows how far he is from being one. He immediately jumps to right wing "grand liberal conspiracy" mode and scaremongering than actually discuss the policy. It's also telling that his fear mongering for all 3 points boils down to "There is a possibility that this helps liberals, so it's bad".
He doesn't want to be a deep rational thinker who solves problems, he wants to be a partisan talking head that people think is a deep rational thinker.

I meant my comment that I am a fan of Colin but understand why people don't like him was innocuous. I thought I could freely share my opinion of the guy without being labeled a racist and Trump supporter(of which I am neither) but I guess I was wrong. If it was misconstrued as me supporting his comments, then I guess that's my fault for not being clearer. Like I said, I still don't even understand his comments or what sparked him to post them out of the blue. They are basically gibberish to me until I know what he's referencing.

Scenario 4: Steve, a somewhat beloved mod of the video game forum NeoGAF, sees a post describing the most wondrous libertarian fan fiction Steve has ever seen. Excited to find more Steve turns to Google to look up the source. An alert is quickly raised at Google HQ because Steve searched for the phrase "Colin Moriarty twitter." As the local police rush to Steve's house after being alerted by Google, Steve is presented with a video of the Wall Street Journal criticizing Colin using Tweets and Reddit posts that were completely taken out of context.

He ran away after shitting on a poster for not doing anything important who turned out to be a lawyer who did pro bono work for immigrants

All the while trying to argue that his position as a ~media personality made him a humanitarian who helped improve lives, hence him saying "what have YOU ever done" to the lawyer

here's my opinion:

he used to have attention from the podcast. he got fired for being a bigot. he lost a lot of attention. he wants attention. he posts stupid shit in order to bring up controversy. also he's an idiot.
