So I’m finally dusting off the PS4 for the first time in a while to play Destiny 2.

I’m about to download the digital version from the PSN store. Are extras in the Deluxe Digital worth the extra $10 or should I just get the game + expansion pass? The game has been out for a month so I figured people would know by now.

I beat the raid with a good PUG found on destinylfg. Can't believe I still have to use that website in order to raid, as usual. Bungie's matchmaking for nightfall is fine but raids are a complete joke. 45+ minute wait of letting the game sit on a searching screen you can't back out of is some of the dumbest shit I've seen yet.

I hear you. It definitely sucks when you get a string of no drops in a row. Last night's run I got gloves, sword, and helm, two exotic engrams and then the chestpiece from the tokens, which was honestly not bad, but the first week I got only cloak on my Hunter and boots from the tokens, sometimes your luck is just going to be shitty. The reward cadence of WotM was much less frustrating even though everything was a dupe really quickly if you ran multiple characters.

They're pushing the app first and foremost. Which is annoying, as I play next to my computer and prefer that to a mobile app.

Bungie suggested that a website version may come eventually but for now there's Destiny Item Manager or Ishtar-something-or-other (someone will know this name accurately).

I think I'm doing Destiny wrong. I play with friends who go on and on about gun names and their best use. Like I said, I'm closer to 75 hours played but I don't think I could name one gun I have. If it feels right and does some damage I use it. I also have no desire to create a second character. I'm convinced I'm one of the few people that enjoys the game and plays like this.

That you can at least leave a little RNG to roll for a certain slot, so there's at least a Token Sink in place

Our Tokens are literally RNG for RNG on RNG Engram chase
You can't even pick Armor or Weapon

I can wait for the Clusterfuck when Prestige drops
I hope it's the same currency and now both the normal and Prestige Loot are pooled together, I can see wasting 100 tokens to try to earn a prestige piece, oh joy!

I'm an outlier and on the insane side of the Destiny Spectrum

If you farm 5000 Faction Tokens in a week, then you can join in us at the edge of the abyss
Until then you got nothing to worry about

Apparently staying out of a menu reduces the chance of getting caught in the infinite loop when traveling to the tower. If you do get caught in it, if you change a weapon, doesn’t matter which one, it apparently gets you out of the loop and let’s you arrive in the tower. YMMV

I guess you don't play much Crucible? I could see playing that way in PvE (though I enjoy the metagame of finding the "best" guns personally), but in PvP some guns are just SO MUCH better than others that it is just an exercise in frustration trying to use things that are worse. Like honestly, as much as I hate using it swapping to MIDA/Uriels ends up with me getting at minimum 1.5-2x kills than using other random stuff because those guns simply kill a guardian from full health faster than other guns do.

Otherwise I think your playstyle is the silent majority. Much like how people who eat at a restaurant, think it is fine and go home don't leave yelp reviews while someone who has an awful time does, people who play like you are just much less likely to be talking about stuff cause everything is fine for them.

Queueing up in the Nightfall matchmaking, waiting almost half an hour for a match, my light 302 character getting paired with two light lvl 252 characters...In back to back queues.

I don't think I will use that feature ever again.

Guided Games really doesn't seem to be that useful to people who actually know what they are doing. You can find something faster that ends up better 99% of the time using any other LFG method. And I don't think it is too useful for the Nightfall in general, idea of rotating affixes and strikes makes it hard for a group to "guide" anyone since most people have never done that combo.

I think it is decent for the raid though, for someone very nervous about going in not knowing what they are doing, since the expectation of guided games is almost always that seekers are coming in not knowing what to do.

Whole thing has big issues though in that it is very unrewarding to be a guide currently, almost no reason to bother guiding others except out of the kindness of your heart, and that reason won't sway many people at all.

I think he was just curious about if it is possible to have over 10 hours a day of played time on average every day since launch (he quoted the post where you said 300 hours, game has been out for less than 30 days) with other obligations, or if you're at a spot in your life where you don't currently have those obligations. Not everything needs to be an attack, asking if you have family/job isn't akin to saying you have no life.

Hey GAF, maybe you could help me on this. I'm trying to track down two specific legendary weapons.

Perseverance, a legendary Viest auto-rifle.

And

Black Scorpion 49R (I think?), a legendary Viest Scout-rifle.

Do these only come from the Gunsmith? Or are they on other loot-tables as well, like a certain planet?

Thanks for any help you could give.

Dude fuck this whole timed Nightfall. Twice we were close to beating it and time ran out. One time it glitched and we couldn't destroy one of the crystals.
