There are some subtle animations during Goku's comeback. Right before the light goes away and Goku's siluete shows you can see his eyes and mouth looking pretty angry or in pain/struggle right before calming down. Shit is pretty legit.

Jiren has no gimmicks, as that dork Shin said, he's just fucking strong, plain and simple.

He actually does have a trick or two up his sleeves. He possesses a technique where he can attack and defend without anyone being able to see his movements. It looks like it's triggered from his eyes. It might even make his attacks faster and more powerful also. It might even be Jiren himself stepping out of his physical body and going on the offensive

Everyone else noticed the demon echoing gokus voice while in that forn right? Easily what left the biggest impression on me. I seriously don't think we'll ever see UI like that again. That's s transitional form I think.

Man, I really loved EP110. I've watched the fight scene once a day just as a go to whenever I get to YouTube lol. I don't even think the fight scene is great either outside of a couple highlights but I do really enjoy the way they worked the soundtrack into it.

The bridge between the 'Jesus entered the room' soundtrack to the big band/rock soundtrack was done really well. I wish there was more time for the fight to take place during it despite enjoying the reaction shots but such is the struggle of a weekly anime I guess.

I really hope we get more of that at the end of the tourney.

Watching it live it took me off guard. I wasn't expecting a kind of out of his mind, aggressive and war machine Goku. That last dive at Jiren was insane.

nah it feels like people are trying to look into too much into that(and his eyes) when there's a simple reason that he's just really that damn fast when he focuses, nothing special like Hit where it was explicit he had a crazy power. Goku did the same thing when he got right in Jiren's face in UI, stood still while fists were flying.

That's definitely not a simple speed thing. He's using a technique of some sort. We literally see the man drop his hands, something gets triggered in his eyes, and then you see him fighting at ultra speeds meanwhile his physical body is seen not moving.

I don't think he's just moving really fast. He's doing something special. But of course he's definitely really fast.

Well the clown says Jiren won't lose to anyone no matter who he's fighting. That could mean he's just really strong or maybe something about his race or a skill that makes it so. Who knows.

Also, rumor might be true, not even the god of destruction can beat him so he is really up there in power.

Besides, Goku will need more if he wants to win. He was going crazy and Jiren was nullifying his punches while standing in place only moving his arms. Like, the dude looks like Saitama to be honest. He's got the bald look going!

"Jirenren... Jirenren... Jirenren..."

like i said, Goku did the exact same thing, i'm not convinced its anything more than a cool visual depicting extreme speed.

He probably got his ass beaten hard by Jiren so he can only hope no one can ever beat him otherwise he will look like a clown.

I’m still watching that first sequence where Goku goes through all his forms to get a feel for Jiren.

The OST, the animation, the TENSION. So fucking Godlike

One thing I absolutely love about the ToP is that no respectable fan will ever say the humans are weak anymore.

Roshi and Krillin proved the human race can produce fighters that can stand with the strongest of the multiverse.

Time for Piccolo to get some shine.

When Gohan gonna get his own Ultra Instinct form to defeat Jiren?

And why is Mighty Mouse still smiling as if he isn't worried by Jiren?

I thought he was supposed to rise from the dead like Jesus

Anything could happen. Super loves throwbacks after all.

One throwback can easily be Goku telling his teammates to mind their own business as he fights Jiren like he did back at the 23rd tournament.

Really, the "Super loves throwbacks" to tried to explained why certain things could happened always come off as a paper thin argument. Just like people thought new form was going to be a rage transformation like Super Saiyan because Goku used Kaioken x20 and the Spirit Bomb against Jiren.

Dumb question (or not, who knows) is the song from the Jiren vs Goku battle available? You know, the kickass rock song from when UI was unlocked?

Gonna go ahead and guess not then? I can find *some* versions of it online, but with all the fighting SFX and some voice bits on top of it :S

I feel like if Gohan offers to help Goku he'll accept it.

It's just not in Goku's character to ask for help, especially when he thinks he doesn't need it. He didn't complain when Vegeta came to his aid, but he never would have asked for Vegeta's help.

Has anyone made a recreation of that new theme in 109 when SSB Goku engages Jiren? I really enjoyed that piece of music. It helped make Jiren feel absolutely monstrous. It just set the mood perfectly.

Birth sounds like a key word here

I'm really curious if t's Goku mastering his new form, Kale further mastering/gaining a new type of transformation or something else entirely

I don't think mastery of the form would be birth. Getting the form would be it. Could be someone else gets a form or someone new pops up
.

Goku was also out-numbered. If the match is one-on-one, he wouldn't want help.

Keep in mind that 'birth is just the word Herms chose to used.
