Mario Odyssey's doggos catch whilst BotW's doggos just do nothing.
Odyssey wins by default.
zelda doggos would sniff out treasures for you if you gave them food.

I remember during the Wii era, there was a long period of time when people asked "Where is Mario? Where is Zelda?"
2017, we have an amazing Zelda, and by all evidence provided so far, an amazing Mario.
HERE WE GO!
OFF THE RAILS!
IT'S TIME TO RAISE OUR SALES
I can't wait for two months from now when people claim it was underwhelming after months of saying it was going to win game of the year while being wrong and actually being brilliant.

Why fight doe
That's an extremely bold statement, given that virtually nobody here has played two of those titles.
I could also make baseless statements about how Xenoblade 2 is going to be the most boring game released this year.
.
Does this game need even remotely as many moons as there are korok seeds in BOTW?
Dont forget always some people wanting the previous game's style again as a detractor from the new one.And the endless threads about how people that liked it are actually wrong. It's always like this.
future threads:
"Any kind of motion controls makes a game not fun. Period"
"getting the moons is busywork"
"[Gaming site that gave the game 10]: breaking down why super mario odyssey is overrated"
"LTTP: super mario odyssey (I thought knack 2 was better)"
probably depends on the individual. did zelda need as many korok seeds as it has? i might say no, but a lot of people probably love that there's a mind numbing amount to them. I'm far more interested in hunting moons than seeds so I'm ready son

Will you do mine next?
"<Insert name of random wannabe game designer/youtuber trying to make a name for themselves here> explains why Odyssey is not perfect (video)""the mario cycles is real"
*during the release of the game"
"Am i the only one not liking super mario odyssey?"
Will you do mine next?
Edit: nevermind. I just realized I don't have a forehead.
"Groundbreaking?" They took Ygritte from Game of Thrones and put her in a Zelda game. And deservedly so.
It nailed a crapton of things right. A groundbreaking new Ip that openened doors and shattered barriers that stood in the way of female enpowerment.
Its also got the best story and gameplay in my opinion this year, by quite far.
It will be refreshing to see it win over another Mario and another Zelda. Whose both are established franchise that have been going on since more than 15 years.
Its important that Horizon wins as many GOTY as possible.

After a while, there were just too many dots on a map. Hopefully that isn't the case here.
And deservedly so.

No problem at all. You'll have to wait though, I'm heading to sleep.
You guys realize there never were 900 of the seeds so people could collect them all but because the world is so large that they need enough of them so people can upgrade enough of their inventory while exploiring without having to turn finding them into a grind?
My brain hurts from this post.

T-rexes make everything better.
Here's hoping the game turns into a new Dino Crisis with RE6 mechanics halfway throughJawmuncher would agree with that.

Lol... It's gonna be juicy
"they should have focused more on what made 64 great and not this open world gimmick stuff"
"literally one of the worst games I've ever played"
"literally unplayable"
Somehow gonna fit Horizon Zero dawn in there along with "no one i know plays this game or has a switch"
And deservedly so.

Yeah, I mean it's great to have more games about female empowerment and all, but the best gameplay this year?
Oh please, do you really need to go into pre-emptive defense mode?
Just celebrate what will almost certainly be a great game.
It's arguably the open world that play the best out of all of them, zelda included.
The real miss of Horizon is the dialogue with npcs. Its rarely interesting and it feels horribly "forced" when the content of it is dramatic
The real hit is the enemy variety / combat / overall focused experience
