Destiny 2 |OT3| The Token King

It always cracks me up to hear folks say Destiny isn't a loot game or people don't play Destiny for loot. Just look at this Iron Banner and see/experience all the players who despise PvP participating just for the specific IB loot tells you all you need to know especially with the putrid Token reward system in place.

It always cracks me up to hear folks say Destiny isn't a grind game or people don't play Destiny for the grind. Just look at D2 and see/experience all the players who despise the lack of grind, still playing the game even though the grind is gone.

Confirmation bias is a hell of a thing. :D

Until they can make duplicate drops worth something, they need to either remove them entirely from IB, or remove an item from the pool once you've gotten it twice.

Duplicates are worth something, the all-important Legendary Shards.

Legendary Shard's usefulness and worth will definitely be changed for the first expansion in December. Zero doubt about it.

That said, I will not be surprised in the least if they reset everyone's LS totals and/or give you a certain amount to start as a do-over of sorts.

Damn rngesus, opened 18 IB packets and still need the chest piece.

Hopefully I get it in the next couple as I have spent an ungodly amount of time the last few days trying to complete the set.

So do you report folks with offensive names? Like, maybe I am missing something but I was just in a match against someone called ROMMEL_156_88 and well, I am not totally sure what 156 is but ROMMEL and 88 are related to the Nazis...

Just hit 20 and nearly finished the story I think, all these things like patrols opened up so can I randomly group with people for strike teams, I'd like to get raiding but I presume I need gear from these events?

Again, sorry for the daft question but I've found a lot of guides assume know the mechanics from destiny 1.

You can do anything at all to get gear that will take you up to the 265 mark. Give this post a read for the stuff available to progress if you feel like you have hit a plateau:

I did 9 matches of IB yesterday and the event completely misses the mark for me.

- Same SBMM used in quick play so combined with p2p connections remain awful.
- no actual IB loot drops after matches
- 4 or more matches to get a single drop
- No way to just buy any specific item like you could in RoI.

At least I managed to get the sidearm from one of my rank ups...

Either way don't really see myself touching it again. It's not too fun and the rewards aren't worth the trouble anyway

I got the pulse on my first turn in. Right now I am in the "I want to get the 10 turn ins for the emblem and we will see what happens" camp. I would like the full armor set on my warlock, and I am interested in the HC, SMG, and fusion (little bit on the sidearm). The pulse was the big one for me, so will see how I feel at the end of the 10 packages.

Report them to Sony / MS. I'm convinced Bungies report function is just for placebo purposes.

You online? Mike os looking for you🐶
To give full context to my message earlier, I set myself to appear offline last Monday when I was off work sick. I WAS sick (the rest of my team and my manager have come down with it since), but I still don’t like to give the impression that I just stayed home playing Destiny all day!

Ever-helpful Hawk!

Hawk, are you doing newbie raids in D2? Sorry if this was answered recently, life has not allowed a lot of time for forum reading lately.
No worries
October 15th - 1:00PM EST - Weekly Newbie Raid - Leviathan (Normal)

Sign-up form is open now for the first weekly newbie raid, Sunday the 15th. I'll do another during the week sometime prior to the 21st, and then I'm out of town til the 30th, at which point they'll resume weekly!

As always these are open to anyone but intended for newbies including those that have no experience or foreknowledge of the raid at all. Note that while I have run a couple groups containing multiple first-timers through now, this will potentially be the first group of all 5 fireteam spots consisting of newbies and a little more patience is asked than newbie raids will require later on. Of course, people who do know the encounters but just haven't done them yet, or anyone who wishes to simply help out is welcome to sign up.

Minimum level is 275, and some more detail is available on the form. These are first come first serve. If you learn that you cannot make it prior to go time, please send me a GAF PM as soon as possible so I can find a replacement. Additionally, send a PM if you don't want to take a slot but just want to be on my list of possible alts.

I could tell this out the gate today. Had time to play 5 matches. Went 4-1 and should have won the 5th.

I posted in our clan chat it's noob city out there. You could tell all the players that don't normally PVP were in IB. It was a cake walk in 3 of my 5 matches.

The biggest tell for me are the Striker Titans who super and I jump over them causing them to get super confused. The shutdown an enemy super challenge has been super easy to do.

No midnight release for PC...

1:00 AM EST and 10:00 PM PST isn't so bad but considering I've already poured tons of hours into it on Xbox I'm not sure I'll be there right at launch. Might just wait until the morning but I'm definitely looking forward to 60+ FPS Destiny with better visuals overall and M/KB input.

Edit: Apparently I'm not good at this time thing.

Not all of us played the console version, and we have been waiting a long time.

The only reason I can think of is on Blizzard's end.

It isn't like any of your PC brethren are getting a head start on you. You've waited this long you can handle a little extra time before it launches.

Yeah, despite this matchmaking being all connection based, I'm playing against teleporting players more frequently.

Trials is the only gametype that is connection based. The others incorporate skill into the equation. I feel like IB has to have some of the strictest SBMM, otherwise it just doesn't make any sense. It's so much laggier than the regular playlists.
