Zeku revealed for Street Fighter V!

It’s alright, but it’s nothing mind-blowing (see Akuma’s SFxT theme).

Sakura's theme in that game is one of GOAT themes imo

I can count in 1 hand the character themes common in both 4 and 5 that i prefer in 5.

Classic SF2 stage themes included

Plus 5 has no volcanic rim so it loses.

Did Street Fighter IV's soundtrack have one main composer or was it a mix of composers like SFV? That might explain why some people like or dislike the remixes

The old theme remixes are mostly beter in 4, but I think the new music in 5 blows away most of the new stuff in 4, including new character themes

There are good individual tracks in IV but the overall direction/style of the music isn't good at all. Sakura's theme is a standout in large part because it actually does work with the type of sound they went for.

One composer in SFIV vs 5 in SFV.

SFIV's composer also happened to create some of the worst themes in SFV (Cammy, Juri, Bipson, Rashido, and Akuma all come to mind).

Zeku's trailer already @ 400k views. I think he's well on his way to taking that 'most popular reveal' spot from Menat.

Fun fact: The kanji that appears on Strider Hiryu's chest is "飛" (Hi), the first character in "Hiryu," and the kanji that appears on Zeku's chest is "武" (Bu), the first character in "Bushinryu."

What does the whole Kanji mean?

Saw this on wikipedia.
" The kanji, 武神, written on Guy's top literally translates to "God of War"" So each of them should have some title? Or is it just Fake news lol ?

Funny how capcom reps stated this season was gonna be all new characters but really we only got 2 actual "new" characters the rest have appeared in non playable form in other games and street fighter.

Only Abigail was an actual fighting NPC. The rest were non-playable story characters.

It was a deliberate choice for the 30th anniversary.

SFII- Akuma
SF3- Kolin
SF4- Ed
FF- Abigail
SFV- Menat
SFA- Zeku

Pretty sure they said characters who have never been playable in a Street Fighter game before, not just "new characters".

"武神" is "Bushin," which is Zeku/Guy's fighting style.

I think they said "new to the steet fighter universe" which is why everyone questioned when they showed Kolin but probably whoever is doing the roster decisions didn't get the right information across. I hope they don't state what they are gonna do for season 3 at the start have it be returning and some new. Of course the data mining will ruin the surprise.

No there was a mistranslation at PSX/Capcom Cup.

The translator said all S2 characters would be "Brand new never before seen in the SF Universe" But I guess he meant never before "playable".

Bushin means “Martial God” which sounds a lot like “God of War” to me.

SFV's marketing metrics in general have been trending upwards with the reveal of AE. More people are engaging with their channels & viewing their material since that went up. Nice to see the Zeku trailer's views are actually backing that up.

If Capcom sticks the landing with SFV AE's launch, they could very well turn the game's overall reception around.

Eagle, Retsu and Lee are probably more likely than Mike and Joe tbh. The only SF1 character I'm fairly certain we'll never see again is Geki.
I meant for the "All new Playable Character" gimmick. Eagle wouldn't qualify.

I expect to see Haggar (Gief) and Geki (Vega) skins in Extra Battle.

I actually think Retsu will be playable eventually, he's the most workable. You can have Lee be a combination of the Twins, be they're pretty popular to be replaced.

Lee's CFN profile says that he's now a drunken boxer, which would be cool to see in Street Fighter. It's the only big fighting game series without one.

Menat probably would have had more hype behind her if AE was revealed before her.
