Trump claims Obama, other presidents never called families of fallen soldiers

Imagine if Obama said this shit...fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuccckkkkkk..............

Yep. If Obama had sneezed too loudly it would have been a controversy. Had he said this, there would be serious impeachment talks, anybody that paid attention during Obama's presidency knows this is true. Sad times, hypocrisy reigns supreme. America has become a nation of hypocrisy politics.

Let's continue to make false claims about past presidents to make yourself look better even tho you're the worst president. Sorry, but the media ain't gonna fall for it.

What is making me angry, is that THIS is what MSM is picking up. This fake comment that trump said, because of course he said it, he throws shade at President Obama every chance he gets.

Why aren't we talking about health care and how he is royally screwing over millions of Americans?

Why aren't we talking about the ambush in Niger that trump refuses to speak about? (only to just make up likes about Pres. Obama)

Why aren't we talking about tax reform and (while I haven't looked into this, but can only assume) how it will royally screw over lower and middle class Americans?

WHY!?!?!?!?!
It’s all a game, ratings are more important than actual news.

Half a million is the current estimated total dead in Iraq, still half a bloody million dead from a needless war.

Trump's and the GOPs health policies will however slowly kill actual millions of American citizens, children included. Terrorists don't need to attack the USA when USA is already murdering it's own citizens in greed.

He's starting a depression but it ain't economic

He's close though, give him a little bit longer.

Eh... still not in the orbit of Bush magnitude of fuckinup, but it is year 1 so..

Trump is such a colossal asshole that he is holding the US hostage. The world has never seen an asshole of this magnitude, we're in uncharted territory. Even if he had one ounce of self awareness and conscience, even at least for one moment, he would see just a sliver of what he's doing to the country and the world and back out of the whole thing with some remorse.

Kinda crazy that from some people I know, this is the thing to make them angry at Trump and realize he is lying or has no clue what he is talking about.

What's the context of this?

Gen Kelly's son died in 2010 in Afghanistan.
We don't know what the Obama admin did to reach out to General Kelly's family, one can assume it may have been a letter or something else, just not specifically a phone call which both he and Sarah Huckabee are trying to spin as what Trump was originally talking about now (which is bullshit). I'm sure we'll get clarification eventually.

Well, if you're a white family, and your white boy or girl was killed, Trump lying about past Presidents talking to you has more impact than going after colored people or LGBT communities, which are GOOD things. This is just a lie against you, personally, so now it matters.

General Kelly's son was killed in combat.

And he has specifically mentioned in the past not to bring him up.

Washington Post said:
WASHINGTON — Before he addressed the crowd that had assembled in the St. Louis Hyatt Regency ballroom last November, Lt. Gen. John F. Kelly had one request. “Please don’t mention my son,” he asked the Marine Corps officer introducing him.

Four days earlier, 2nd Lt. Robert M. Kelly, 29, had stepped on a land mine while leading a platoon of Marines in southern Afghanistan. He was killed instantly.

There is literally zero chance President Obama didn't personally offer his condolences to a general that served under him who lost his son. Literally zero.

But can Kelly say that without getting forced to resign by Trump? Probably not. I hope he does though.

The thing is we know absolutely that Obama and other Presidents have called, written and gone in person to see the families of fallen soldiers so the usual goalpost moving they're trying to do isn't going to work (except on the mindless Trump base).

Rep.Tom Marino has informed me that he is withdrawing his name from consideration as drug czar. Tom is a fine man and a great Congressman!

So you have time to tweet about this but no time to call the parents of the fallen Green Berets?

On point.

Just the fact that Trump used the death of Kelly's son as a political football should lead him to resign tbh.

Whatever his motivations are for staying, I have to imagine that Kelly wants to kill Trump for dragging his dead son into this bullshit.

it's like a malicious version of Peter Molyneux is president. He just can't help but waffle on without thinking whether he's telling the truth or not.

Right Obama reached out, it's just as mentioned about a matter of the goalpost being lifted and being pitched into the distance since we literally have so much proof that Obama reached out to fallen troop families. All Trump gets hung up on now is that not everyone got a phonecall, which is entirely too stupid of a way to spin his original claim, but that's where we are.

Works for Trump, as that is exclusively who he is talking to. He isn't talking to the American people or one individual more than the entirety of his cult. He is isolated, and he does not speak to or acknowledge anyone in the country other than his base.

Sad but true. With some people, the rest of the country's problems aren't their problems, until you're slapped in the face by something like this.

Now what's the next step in your master plan?
If Kelly was unhappy already then this has to be the tipping point towards resignation.

I doubt this is what gets Kelly out of the White House but I can imagine he's going to be rightly pissed and upset that Trump is dragging his son's name around to try and deflect from a stupid thoughtless comment he made.

Do you think Trump actually knew Obama didn't call Kelly or did he literally mean "I don't know, ask Kelly about his dead son." Moreover, if Obama did call, does he honestly expect Kelly to lie?

Especially since it's inconceivable that President Obama didn't personally offer his condolences to General Kelly, one of his generals.

Yeah. I think we've all heard the reports on rumors about how Kelly and Mattis are staying on board out of a sense of duty to protect the country from Trump's terrible decision making though so he might just stick around.

Either way this might be the grossest thing Trump has ever said. Not only is he making the most insane impossible accusation against Obama, that he's using a fallen Soldier as a political weapon and relying on the fact that Kelly is currently working under him and under heavy pressure to back him up despite him lying is fucking disgusting.

There is no bottom of the barrel when it comes to Trump. He will never stop becoming a worse and worse person with each passing day.

Become? I mean when wasn't America a nation of utter hypocrisy?
