Well I use a VPN so technically I could be fucked over if they wanted to.

Same here. I'm on my VPN like 99% of the total time on my PC. I think it's mostly for people who are from other regions going on USA's higher rewards though. MS has my billing info and my actual IPs from my phone/xbox logins so I imagine it's fine. Been good for like 5+ years.

The point is folks is to show you that I go to almost all Xbox threads trying to spread fud/troll and sh*t on everything Microsoft even when it doesn’t make sense. Work for less than half the time, and they can get the same amount of money that they can spend however they want to.

someone correct me if I'm wrong but, it's just the MS Rewards account that gets banned, not your whole MS account (which holds purchases/games etc).

Edit : took a quick look on the internet and yep, it's only the MS Rewards one that gets banned.

If anyone is interested: Using the Edge browser in Desktop Mode on mobile gives the desktop points with no internal delay per search. I wonder how long that will last

It actually feels quite bizarre. Liberating even. Now that I don't feel compelled to trudge through the Rewards actions over breakfast each morning. The only one I still ought to do is the Play PC game with Friends as that's 250 points daily but it's hardly been working of late anyway. I think it may be either a regional or targeted change. Aside from the 3 searches to start earning awards thing I haven't been limited.

I used this because I rarely play online, I’ll play the master chief collection usually around the holiday season on and off for a couple of months, but I’ll play for like a total of five hours, so I would use the Bing search engine and it would always give me enough points to get a few months of gold, now it doesn’t seem to be giving me any points for using the search engine, so good riddance I guess.

Man, what were you guys doing because it seems like it was taking me forever just to get a $5 - $10 gift card. lol
And having to keep up with it every day so that I could get points for consecutively logging in and trying was annoying.

For me, it was mostly opening up a browser with preset bing tabs and doing the daily quizes. I did the Xbox app stuff off and on as well, but not consistently.
Here are my rewards redemption transactions over the last year....

And that's while already having Game Pass subscription through the first half of the year. So it was a kickass little program for me for the little amount of effort I put into it. Now Microsoft fucked it all up and I can't be bothered.
