We have the assets to be a great team, they just lack the proper coaching and chemistry. You could bring in Ryan and Iginla and it won't matter until Martins gone look at what happened to Cammy he plays like his soul has been sucked out unless it's the playoffs.

That's been our MO all season. Even games were we lead we get like 5 shots in every 3rd period it's because Martins a clueless fuck who doesn't understand the concept of sustained pressure and offence.

Habs are getting really boring to watch right now. I'm thinking about just leaving them be for a while, and find something more entertaining, like playing Zelda or just having sex.

I like the sounds of this only replace Zelda with skyrim....tired of putting aside other things in my life to see this team continue to under perform.

Even though the Leafs lost tonight I didn't mind they way they played, though they got hemmed in their zone a bit too often but it was a close game up until the end. Overall strong performance, looking forward to them breaking this losing streak to Boston on Saturday :)

If they keep playing like this they won't have a chance to lose to them in the playoffs. Martin has to go and same with PG.

Unfortunately, it's also time for me to call for the coach's job. I haven't done it since Martin's here, which puts me in an incredible minority, but now's the time. Habs aren't making the playoffs right now, but they're still not out of reach. Losing 6 out of 8 in desperate times is not cutting it. We need new leadership. I'm thinking the Gomez situation is really, really causing trouble right now and not only because of his salary. This guy was good in the locker room, and now that his spot is not his on the team, I'm thinking that it's causing problems.

We need to acquire new draft picks (Timmins has been a really good drafter, fuck the haters), trade one of our most valuable older assets that are underachieving right now (Cammalleri and Gionta come to mind) to teams that are able to compete, and switch the coaching team. Hopefully this stirs up enough shit that the team comes back from it's coma, and maybe they'll end up making the playoffs.

PG also needs to fucking leave. Gainey and him have traded some valuable assets over the years, and we didn't get enough in return. I'm thinking mainly Ribeiro, McDonagh, Grabovski and SK.

and he was replaced by Bruce Boudreau

EDIT: So I guess it didn't take long for BB to find a new job

Here's an article from the Ducks website.
The Ducks have announced that they have named Bruce Boudreau head coach, replacing Randy Carlyle. The club has also relieved Assistant Coaches Dave Farrish and Mike Foligno, and Video Coordinator Joe Trotta of their duties. Brad Lauer has been added to the Ducks staff as an assistant coach. One additional assistant will be named at a later date.

“This was an extremely difficult decision,” said Executive Vice President/General Manager Bob Murray. “Randy is a terrific head coach, and did a tremendous job for us for six-plus seasons. We thank him greatly for his hard work and dedication to our franchise, not the least of which was a Stanley Cup championship. At this time, we simply felt a new voice was needed. Bruce is a proven winner with a great track record, and we are optimistic we can turn this season around under his leadership.”

:lol wow what the hell, you crush us then fire your coach, guess I was right BB wasn't gonna be out of a job last.... Selanne said the other day their sucking had nothing to do with coaching.... And yea looks like Ryan's safe a little longer. Why can't Martin get the boot goddamnnit.

I can't believe Carlyle was fired.

I can't believe Boudreau was hired.

This of course means that Carlyle is the new head coach of the Leafs.

I really don't know what to think or how I feel about this. Kinda sad to see him go but better him than Bobby. Good luck, Randy Carlyle.
