Wow, the dialogues in the trailer really sucked. Is it intentional to be that cheesy, or can they just not do anything better? :)

Intentional i'd say. From the days of "What a mansion" and "Who are you? Whadaya doin here?!" to deadly serious "Complete global saturation" the series has always been kinda cheesy.

RE6 wishlist:

-Chris should punch asteroids into a satellite station as mentioned previously.
-Leon should come across a pair of rocket boots to slide around in.
-Leon should grab El Gigante with his bare hands and spin toss him into the sun.
-More involved scoring system for the campaign missions?
-Chris should come across a door that is locked and punch the lock off the door and exclaim that he is the master of unlocking.
-Ashley ballistics jokes.
-Ashley should get some rocket boots as well.
-More QTE's with Chris punching things, or no QTE's at all.
-Leon should suplex Nemesis.
-Chris should use his partner as a melee weapon.

I see more combat involved and less shooting and it seems the enemies are more smarter, Chris taking cover and that hand grabs him. More serious gameplay than 5.

Please tell me you're joking.
I wasn't joking at all. It's been a few years, but I remember RE5 looking pretty incredible, this looks pretty not incredible. I'm not saying it looks bad or anything, but nothing about it looked graphically impressive to me.

I'm sure I'm going to enjoy the hell out of this game, but I was a bit surprised how rough the gameplay bits looked. Holy groundtextures, batman etc. Current gen just simply running out of juice?

So,
Leon: Single-Player
New Guy: 2-Player-Coop
Chris: Multiple Player Coop?

Who knows. Personally I'm hoping for;

Main Campaign: Single-Player,
Raid Mode: Co-op.

That's how it is in Revelations, which seems to be the best approach to me. Somehow, I don't get the feeling that this will be the case, though. Leon has an AI partner too, BTW.

That's nice. What does that have to do with anything I said?

Resident Evil 1 > survival horror

Resident Evil 2 > survival horror

Resident Evil 3 > survival horror

Resident Evil 0 > survival horror

Resident Evil 1 remake > still survival horror

Resident Evil CV > survival horror

Resident Evil 4 > less survival horror

*Magic time where the 360 becomes overly popular with immature brat kids*

Resident Evil 5 > derp console shooter, traces of survival horror, no puzzles

Resident Evil Racoon City > straight derp console shooter

Resident Evil 6 > Jesus fucking christ

Yeah, "kind of ridiculous". I'm almost convinced NeoGAF, for the majority, consists of kids who grew up on streamlined accessible crap. I don't care what you've played.

Ask any RE fan how Resident Evil started out for all of the games above and you'll get a description that is so fucking far away from what they're doing to the series now.

You forgot:

- Resident Evil Outbreak
- Resident Evil Outbreak 2

That would be ideal. I would also be ok with "raid mode" being story-based, but I am certainly hoping for a Single-Player main campaign. All the Leon stuff looks great (except his face!).

Ashley being in it makes sense, as the president seems to be heavily involved and she's his daughter. However, I am hoping that Sherry Birkin is making a comeback. If anything she should play Baldy McScarsville's role. (If they are going to have an "Alice" character like in the films, I'd rather it be someone with history, such as Sherry)

What a great trailer, the game looks great! The Leon section in particular looked absolutely fantastic, like RE2 on crack, but in a good way!

The new mercenary character design is a little disapointing, looking about as generic as you could get. However, the storyline behind him seems intruiging, with his blood I guess being a cure or vaccine for the T-Virus? And if he's been paired with Ashley, then even better as it would be great throwback to RE4 to have Ashley playable as a hero character now. And if that is her, I approve of her new design, as it looks like she's grown up and become a RE stalwart herself.

I also like the gameplay sequences with the new mercenary... it seemed like he was some sort of close combat specialist, performing combination sequences and attacks. Perhaps those were just QTE's like in RE4/5, but perhaps he genuinely has his own unique gameplay style in comparison to the other characters.

The new updated Leon I personally thought looked badass! One of my favourite RE characters and here he looked like someone that has been through all kinds of unimaginable horror and survived to tell the tale. His new partner also looked cool.

Please have a 4th pair. Ada Wong and Hunk or something like that. Don't really want Ashley and that new guy.

I wonder if the story will jump around from multiple POV like SIREN: Blood Curse.

I'm hype for it. Survival horror, RE1-3 style, sucks. I'd much rather play whatever the hell genre this is now, than that. Sure, some real atmosphere would be nice. /shrug

Loved the 5th one, even though it was as far removed from the older Resi games as it was. After seeing that trailer, looking forward to 6, too :)

Where is Outbreak Defense Force GAF? I expected some people going nuts over who's directing this (well, I guess there's God's Beard & his JoJo fetish, lol).

Anyway, I like what I see.
Was I hoping the 'Nightmare' DLC from RE5 an indication of what 6 would be like? Sure, but I like how this seems to be multiple stories with multiple levels of action, converging into a centralized RE story. I hope it's pulled off well.

Looking forward to more details.

I am hoping the story isn't pre-RE5 though. :/

So,
Leon: Single-Player
New Guy: 2-Player-Coop
Chris: Multiple Player Coop?

Leon is seen with the brunette several times and for a few frames you can see she's playable (she's also left handed like Sheva), so I'm betting she's the coop partner for the Leon chapters.

Has anyone been able to clarify the time line? Be great if someone could pester Capcom and ask whether or not they made a mistake saying this is 10 years are RE1, and therefore set before Resident Evil 5.

In what way?
It's much longer, grander, it controls better, it looks better. CV felt like a legitimate step forward for the series to me. I don't know how well it'd hold up, certainly not RE4 well I'm sure, but I really liked it at the time.

EDIT: Dragon's Dogma is the DMC4 team isn't it?

I watched the trailer for a second time after having the day to mull over it. I'm excited. I want to believe.
