I'm not sure how those press guys keep a straight face when such obvious and awkward PR spinning is going on from specific answers to questions (namely, the "can you use a controller and some kinect functionality at the same time?" question).

Whenever this comes up, my mind always goes back to that old TNT (I think it was a TNT) when Duke Nukem voice actor John St. John was on the phone and was explaining how funny the new game was and gave an example that, well, seemed really awkward and forced (kinda like the game).

Ryan was talking to him on the phone and was courteous but, man, there was some mirthless laughter on his part happening at that moment.

I hope they don't overdo 'QL EX,' Guest Bombcasts, and 'What it Is' this year. They are really stilted experiences compared to the normal GB stuffs. Hopefully they are just an excuse to fill time during the slow season.

As soon as more releases are coming around (March) I bet we will see lots of QLs.

I think it's just easier to set up a QLEX, especially at this time of year as most games are at least a couple of months out. Companies would rather have a PR guy there to spin any possible bugs than to have the GB guys rip into it.

I imagine they would almost always rather do a proper quicklook rather than an EX or the ask me anything/what it is type stuff. Unless the EX is something like the Double Fine thing they did last week.

There is stuff released on Steam, PSN and XBLA every week.

Well, outside of Dustforce, what are they missing? They did Unstoppable Gorg last week, and that's one the newest Steam releases. They did Amy, which is out this week on PSN and they did Scarygirl. And even that is pretty sparse content. So, again, at this time of year if they don't do QLEXes and the like, there just isn't that much content for them to put up.

I realize you've made comments about QLEXes being paid for advertising, but I thought that was a joke.

As soon as he described the game as "Burnout on snow", I was on board.

SSX looks sick good.

What the fuck was marketing thinking going for that xtreme survival bullshit initially - if you have a game of that calibre on your hands? Just show it off.

bish gets all the credit :)
Shame it's an EA game. I wasn't really a fan of the avalanche mode. I think it would be more fun as a regular mode with the avalanche roaring behind you.

Seems like the records are largely useless unless you're the top level as well.

Hopefully I turn off teh wubwubwub music

SSX looks amazing. Is it still the lead who was shit talking all the colors from the older games? Because it's looking very colorful.

Well congratulations! You got yourself caught!
SSX just shot up to a buy from that QL.

Avalanche mode indeed looked poor though, or rather I was also hoping for a traditional playview with the oncoming wave behind me. :/

Wingsuit stuff looked insanely fun though.

I've been on board with SSX since the debut trailer. Good to see it's turned out pretty well.

Think it'll be a day one for me as well. Autolog is one of my favorite recent features, so it's good to see it being put to good use in this one.
