Nah, there's always a lull right now, we just came off one of the biggest gaming release seasons ever with huge titles, and the game doesn't come til the end of the year. Its only January, its probably a bit premature to start building hype. It'd be hard to hold hype all year long with so many different types of media these days and everyone's short attention spans. It'd just end up dead or lost and wasted. My thoughts anyway.

DerFeef said it already. You can produce hype in a few hours/days. Best example: Resident Evil 6 and Skyrim.

Halo has been out of the game though, if they don't start advertising it soon, I think they are going to have a hard time hyping it for the rest of the world.

Halo 4 gets a lot of high places at VideoGame sites MotY rankings. 343i has the bonus, that it will be a game with the Master Chief. And like I said: You can create hype just in a few days/hours.
It did? Like us only the fans were crawling for news. But after the gameplay trailer, everyone was talking about it.
For the past 10 years, there really hasn't been a time without Halo news. It was time to give the world a break. It will pay off, I'm sure.
Interesting. I feel the exact opposite. I want Halo news since I am a fan, but I feel if they start the train now it'd die off and hurt in the long run.
Once news are out, people go crazy enough.

Yeah, acting and obvious youth of some of the actors, it was a well put together piece. Im really looking forward to the next episode of it. They really put together something that is top quality.
They can cry while playing some Halo 4. We just get to cry.

Pretty good all things considered.
Acting could use work but i realise most of these guys are fans and not actors, Guns obviously look a bit fake at times (the pistol especially) The overlay effects on screen at times are a bit too gloomy.
The white boots when they are in the building with the ODST sniper made me chuckle, UNSC snow gear?
But really its just minor nitpicks everything looked great.
The timeline fits nicely. Guy was born in 2506 first contact was 2525 puts the Gauge at 19
Edit: Makes me wish Halo:Landfall had been developed into a full series.
We can cry and play Halo Reach to augment our cries.

I'm sure it sucks, but it probably helps to know the marketing strategy and see that everything is going according to plan.
I guess that's a double-edged sword though, it might make it more frustrating/annoying to see the whining and entitlement from the fans when you know what's in store for them.

- CEA came out two months ago. Primordium came out three weeks ago. The world is not going to forget about Halo.
- Even if the world forgot about Halo 4, it doesn't really matter right now. The earliest "Holiday" release would be November, right?
Modern Warfare 3 came out November 8th. The first look at that game was the leak in May.

I think the engine was HDR implemented into the Halo 2 engine not what halo 3 actually ran on

I have the PS2 version with more content. Come at me.
I don't think they care if people bitch about this kind of stuff, nor should they. At one point they wrote about how they did tests where no one could tell the difference between 640p and 720p. It's not like Reach is true 720p either, although it is closer. It had something to do with deffered rendering not playing nice with two buffers.

The Wii version has the GameCube's graphics with the PS2's extra content. Only reason I haven't bought it is because I've never been able to find it.
Also the PS2 version looks like Halo 3's human faces.
They've been 40 for the two weeks at FutureShop, haven't they?
As for RE4 Wii, check bargain bins. The wiimote makes it the best edition. Probably best controls in the Wii's entire library.

I miss Halo 3's HDR.
Mix Reach (with better IQ) and Halo 3's HDR and you would have a stunning game. I should note though, I do think Reach is a good looking game, far better than Halo 3, just not a fan of its IQ at times.
Speaking of nice lighting, I think Gears 3 is an amazing looking game, and does some awesome stuff with its lighting.

Stop playing at random hours and hop online when me, Juices, Nutter and co are online. You play so much random shit during the day and you're gonna be all like "waaaaah I've played too much Halo today" when your friends are actually online.
I didn't know about this. I should check the Canada section of Cheap Ass Gamer more often.
And the wiimote controls are pretty rad for RE4 Wii Edition but I still prefer using the Gamecube controller. Wiimote makes it too easy and the combat was designed for the GC controller. Only thing that sucks is that the QTE button prompts when using the GC controller are for the Classic controller and it's really hard to tell what to press since they're all white.
