I didn't even know F- existed. I thought F was the lowest.

What are the disadvantages of satellite internet? Strict caps or something?

Yeah, nothing hurts the self esteem like paying for an internet speed that has a rating lower than what you thought was the lowest possible score.

The quoted speeds of the satellites were the same as this "DSL" service, and yeah, their caps were pretty appalling. I think Hughes Net reset everyday (had a daily cap) but Wild Blue had a monthly cap, so I decided to go with the one with no cap.

Still, $50 bucks for crappy service is never fun. I'm stoked to get back to civilization.

No caps. Upgrading to 100 soon.

Price: around €50 (including free land calls and one hour per month of free cellphone calls). Not exactly cheap, but competition is a fucking joke in Spain.

£35pm (although i think it works out cheaper since its part of a package, probably not too much less though). Soon to be upgraded to 100Mbit for the same price. No cap.

I'm pretty satisfied ^-^

30 € = digital TV (better quality), phone (flat - only landline), internet via cable (flat)

Pretty good for a smaller town in Canada, although the cap is only 175GB, so I've almost hit it this month due to downloading several 30GB games (SWTOR and WoW).

AFter years of 3.5mb max, it is quite the change.

£35 including line rental, no cap. Although torrents basically don't work between 6pm-12am.

Wireless via bridge from another room:

Damn Sweden is a hell of a lot cheaper than Norway.

You norwegians like to flaunt that you have more money than us swedes but everything is also twice, if not more, as expensive in norway compared to sweden so it evens out if not favours sweden. Best is to live in sweden by the border and work in norway.

Verizon FiOS, advertised as 150/35, but I can get 65+ upload during offpeak hours.
Part of a Ultimate HD/voice package, $140 month + taxes, after a pile of promotional discounts offered this last holiday season.

No bandwidth cap.
$10 for the internet portion bundled with home phone that's like $50 due to my parents' long distance usage.

Had my brother make me a computer in 2010(I bought the supplies). Shelling out $70/month for internet.

Just got myself new connection 50/2 (i really don't get why the upload is capped at 2Mb/s). Anyway this is blowing my world big time, downloading albums from Itunes is soooooo fast. I was thinking about going with the 200/10 but it would have been 54€ a month and money is tight at the moment. Maybe next year.

Best I get it 5-6. It's part of a package so I don't know what the exact cost is. Only good thing is the unlimited usage. Fibre is apparently being rolled out in my area this summer so hopefully an upgrade is possible.

Good lord.

I want FiOS so bad. Sooooo bad.

No cap.
Price included in rent as the ISP is still in testing phase of gigabit connections.
I hope you're hard at work archiving all the porn on the internet.

For academic purposes of course.
