Platinum Trophy: Learned to Shit While Upright Again.
I was like what the fuck happened to the all those posts

Jesus this thread got nuclear last night, amazing I was up for it, but mods swooped in hella fast

Has to be bish, that efficieny... the thread just flows somehow lol

You know, I've been thinking, maybe Randy Orton isn't all that bad. He could stand to lose cleanly a little more often and his clotheslines are still the worst in the business, but he's a lot better at mixing up his move set and creating a compelling match than Cena is at the very least...

He does a good job laying out matches so his stuff doesn't get stale, and adds a spot every 6 months like the superplex he's doing now. I wouldn't say he's on Punk or Bryan's level where he's pulling moves out of left field, but he's good enough in the ring. His RKO set ups are really obvious though, he needs to stop that.

Now if only this gotdamn convulsing snake thing didn't catch on....

So we at war with AnimeGAF now.

With spin being the traitor a la Austin? GAF drama sure is more entertaining than the current product.

Well, yeah, Orton's not THAT good, but I've been shitting on him for months and he doesn't deserve that much hate...

I wouldn't say Punk is on Bryan's level either. Punk is awesome, but he's gotten so stale since his face turn. :/

Orton is great in the ring. If he's the top guy for years to come, I wouldn't even be mad.

Plus, he hasn't been booked to be a Superman, so that's nice as well.

Me, Ithil and Heavy liked Orton before any of you bandwagoners. He was hot shit in 2011 and it looks like that'll be the case in 2012 too.

See, now that I disagree with. Just look at his feuds with Christian and Barrett. Orton and Barrett must have wrestled like 400 times by now and I think he's won maybe twice.

Orton's booking
and terrible clotheslines
is what made me dislike him so much in the first place.

I wouldn't say I'm on the Orton bandwagon. I just hate him less than I used to.

Punk's character is stale, but his in-ring stuff is still great IMO. That arm whip -> Anaconda Vice he does now looks great. He's also brought chops back to the WWE in the last few weeks, and that spinning sit-out powerbomb from the RR was picture perfect. He also did a Frankensteiner on Raw against D-Brine. That's what I call mixing it up.

And I was never a complete hater of Orton, just his booking. It's not like my Cena hatred which encompasses his gimmick, his booking, his smile, his promos, his matches, his technique, etc. etc.

Orton, for the record, was largely shit before 2011; he deserved to be called "Blandy Boreton." I don't know what's changed, but something has.

Orton's booked like a typical WWE uppercard face. If that's reason enough to dislike him, it's reason enough to dislike anybody in that position. Many of you have taken that as an invitation to turn on CM Punk. I'd like some more unorthodox booking, but I've learned - through necessity - to look past WWE's uninspired writing, and be pleasantly surprised when they do pull something out of their arse that's genuinely interesting. That he lost clean to Mark Henry at two consecutive pay-per-views is, frankly, astounding, and put Henry over big time.

As for Barrett, he'd still be taking the piss out of Heath Slater backstage and only coming out for battle royals if it weren't for his feud with Orton. I wouldn't feel too sorry for him.

He doesn't rule out a return to WWE and a recent agreement has led to him being a character in the latest WWE video games.

If they put DDP in WWE games... cool.

But please... PLEASE... get a good animation of the Diamond Cutter.

Revenge's was alright but the rest are garbage.

Orton's booking is the only real problem with him these days, and even that's a lot better (he lost clean at three consecutive PPVs there a couple of months ago). He consistently puts out great and varied matches (he takes the time to switch up his moveset and have them done in more creative ways, there's no autopilot Cena Combo here) with pretty much all his opponents and makes some truly hilarious faces doing so.

I suppose the Viper gimmick is pretty lame, it's like a declawed heel Austin from 2001 (only as a face) with the PG restriction, but there's no longer any way to turn him heel, so there's not a lot they can do about that. The real Orton is a lot more entertaining and charming than the slow talking Viper gimmick, so if he's to be a face for the forseeable future it really would be better to let him be himself more.
