Actually how do 3rd-version exclusive forms work? Like, in Emerald, with Deoxys, what would happen if you used a 3rd form Deoxys in a battle against Ruby? Would the Ruby player see an original-form Deoxys just with 3rd-form stats?
Like you have a problem with that. You been riding the Kyurem train so hard that to be ridden in two directions at once would please you greatly.

Assuming they work as they do in Plat, the new forms would be unusable in battles against B/W players.
Starrin' in the Pikachu short. Could be a sign they're rushing this generation out a bit faster for full 3DS gen 6.
Or, as DarkWish said, Black/White 3DS!
EDIT: Electivirus: the Platinum forms were usable against D/P users, but only in local wireless. It just showed the original sprite, but with the alternate form's stats.

after careful consideration i've decided one show is about magical toy spins and that's pretty shameful. It was also released like 5 years later so there's not even one reason for someone to watch this show.
So i guess pokemon wins by default.

No, it means Grey. The forms aren't coded into the Black/White carts. The possibility for alternate forms are, mind, just not the forms themselves.
Those weren't main series games, those were spin offs, Nintendo potentially lost nothing from that.
But the main series has always been used to drive the sales of Nintendo handhelds, so to make the latest one non 3DS exclusive is a massive blunder.

I guess people who thought they were pushing through this gen a bit quick are kind justified more with the whole meloetta being in the short. That would make it only one more to go.
