the sad thing is I remember these type of post game callouts back when the hawks were abysmal. Ugh

NBA thread is closed and I need another sports thread to talk about sports in. I'm in Cali so which team is the better team in the state so I can bandwagon?




I'm serious though I like watching hockey but I don't understand some of it.

Lucky for you the two Cali teams that have a shot at the playoffs are playing tonight. Kings vs Sharks, tune in and pick a side.

I was just talking about this with my buddy. At least in Edmonton (in terms of being a overall not very good team, even though they kick the Hawks' teeth in every time) people actually give a shit about them (both the team and the players). But shit, can you imagine being on such a shitty team... in Ohio??

Are you closer to San Jose, Anaheim or LA?

San Jose are historically good regular season performers (they're a playoff bubble currently), not this year though, and last year got to the conference finals. Anaheim are inconsistent but have a lot of talent (and a cup, which neither have). And the Queens are a piece of shit, but they have talent or something.

seriously it's gotta be worse to play in a bad market in a less than stellar city.

Dude with how bad we've been playing my prediction of Habs vs Leafs last game of the season with a top 3 draft spot on the line may come true. Might be the oddest few hours in NHL-GAF ever when Leafs fans cheer on the Habs and Habs fans cheer on the Leafs.

I live in Fresno which is closer to San Jose but all my friends like San Jose and I am moving to LA during the fall.

I have been to Columbus numerous times when I was younger as I had family there. There is literally nothing interesting that I can remember about it besides some old school mom and pop game shop that is probably no longer there.

In that case, like others have said, watch the Sharks vs Kings game tonight and see which team resonates more strongly with you.

Also I'm a Ducks fan, so don't take anything I say about either team literally. If you decide to follow the Sharks then you can enjoy seeing how much the Ducks suck when they play each other soon.

Btw, I live in L. A. County and am a hardcore ducks fan. You don't have to be a queens fan or sharks fan! There are better options, captyamato!

Malkin now has 15 points in 3 games against Winnipeg this season. CHEEZUS. (he apparently didn't play in the 1-2 PIT loss at the beginning of the season, but played in the other 3 wins: 5-1, 8-5 (!!) and 8-4 (!!). ) I didn't know that series was such high-scoring oO
