Cores, shaders and BIOS oh my!
The other side of digital distribution, huh...
I'm pretty sure that on Steam and elsewhere, even if a game is pulled, those who purchased it don't actually lose it from their library (that's absurd tbh) and have the ability to redownload it. It's not a DD issue, it's an implementation issue. DD should only get that if the distributor goes under (with other implementations like GOG's even that is not a big issue).

Plus I believe it's still up on the Euro store

Edit: Anyone know if Call of Duty Black ops Zombies will get a retina update, and how does Skylanders look on the new iPad?

Sale started already.
What's the regular price of DDP HD? Because at $12, it doesn't feel like there's much of a sale :/
Edit: Okay, DDP has gone down in the US from $14 to $11. Hardly enough to make someone sitting on the fence actually buy it. Especially someone who already has the non-HD version. Still pissed they haven't found some way of getting the HD version to people who already have the original at a discounted price.

huh. Epic Astro Story actually uses the native os font rendering thingy so text looks sharp.

What sales are there atm? Cave and 2K, something else?

I'm thinking about picking up Espgaluda II HD and Dodonpachi Resurrection HD... but 11$ each is kinda steep...

Technically they did...it just happens to be discounted for everyone else as well.

If that Walmart deal is still on you can get them for 20% off effectively! (if you spend $40 to buy the gift code in the first place, spend more to save more!)

Yes. Seriously they're all good...well Deathsmiles is difficult at times because how the game works (enemies come from all sides, such as where your thumbs may be) while Mushi Bug Panic is completely different, although fun in it's own right if you like twin stick shooters.

If you're pinching pennies, (other than $1 Bug Panic) Dodonpachi Blissful Death is $3 now, and the separate versions of Espgaluda II (smartphone and arcade) are $4, which is their normal price (or $7 for the HD versions if you have a 4S/iPad 2/new). DDP BD isn't a universal app though, so if you're playing on iPad there'll be a black border and 2x button (that can be accidentally touched while playing). Hopefully it'll be updated to be like Bug Princess 1 and 2 to at least fill the screen.

If you're fine with whatever prices, just download the demos and try to figure out what you like from there. DDP Resurrection and Espgaluda II both have two modes, regular arcade and a new mode designed for phones, while Deathsmiles' extra mode is an item collection/gold grind/RPGesque thing if you're into that stuff.

Bug Panic is kind of a twin stick shooter with some simple exploration elements to the levels. The control mechanic is a bit different from most and works pretty well, and still has bullet hell (although it takes a few levels to get going iirc).

DDPBL and Bug Princess 2 are both relatively straight ports like Bug Princess 1.

thanks, I'll probably get a $15 iTunes card later, Im currently thinking Deathsmiles + Espgaluda II or Bug Princess 2 + Espgaluda II or I might just get a $25 card instead.

Where the rest of my Easter Sale stuff!!!??!

Pretty disapointed so far. I need a Gameloft sale, so I can pick up a few of there games for a dollar, Dungeon Hunter 2 specifically, and I wouldnt mind getting StarFront either.

Not actually that important
Damn, Monster Flip is brutal but very, very nice. Too bad I suck at this kind of lateral thinking in match-three games, planning my moves in advance is not my thing. But the game is very good.
Thinking about using it for the GAF challenge, but I'm having an hard time figuring out which mode would suit (obviously not Puzzle mode) our 1 week challenge, I'm not sure there's really an apt one so I'm very open to suggestions. Also only 12 gaffers have the game at the moment, we need at least 30 to start off as a base, and from there I know it'll go up to at least double that when the Challenge starts, like it usually happens.
It would help if the game was being offered on freemyapps.
What do you guys think?
Don't suggest a different game tho, since for the upcoming Challenge it's either this Monster Flip or a game I've already prepped long ago; if we go with the latter, after that we'd go with Monster Flip (so that it would benefit from coming after a popular game/challenge) or another game you guys would prefer.

Hi, I just got my first iOS device yesterday (iPhone 4) and I've no idea about the games on this. I've downloaded Infinity Blade, hero academy, jetpack, fruit ninja, angry birds and cut the rope. Can you recommend me some good cheap games? I'd like card games, board games, srpg, and anything good really.

Cheers

What's the difference of the HD Cave games versus the regular ones?

SuperBrothers: Sword & Sworcery (Adventure)
Beat Sneak Bandit (Rythm/Puzzle)
Triple Town (strategy/Puzzle)
JetPack Joyride (free/Runner)
Reckless Racing 2 (Racing)

Chaos rings is supposed to be good (RPG)

Those are my favorite iPhone games off the top of my head. However my Favorite iOS game is World of Goo but I dont think I would recommend it on the iPhone as it needs more space to make it enjoyable.

Carcasonne is a must have. Expensive, but worth it. Beat Sneak Agent is one of my recent favourites. Civilization is on sale from £8.99 to £1.49 (whatever the dollar equivalent is). If you have any interest in that, now is the time to get it.

Question for anyone playing epic astro story. What do you do after you uncover every area and explore the 2 planets? I really have nothing left. There is one area left to uncover but my guys aren't powerful enough to kill the guys at the end, yet I can't really make enough money to level them.

Not in every case. I purchased Hungry Cat for my iPhone from the app store awhile back cause the wife loved it. The free version was even in the top 25 downloads for some time. When she got her own iPhone we went to download it and it was nowhere to be found. Gone from the app store as well as my purchase history.
I called Apple about it, and there was nothing they could do. So yeah, if I delete the game it's gone for good.

O...k..? So Apple's implementation is lacking in that, as was already established. That's not how dd works elsewhere is all I said.
