Really can't imagine how on earth can they stretch this show for that long. There are only so many Sengoku generals that people recognize!

Nobunaga collects all the treasures, and goes back to her time, and the show starts over! Or maybe it switches over to a harem comedy featuring the guy from episode 1. I'm not sure which option is more appealing.
I remember saying this years ago. But this was when they were fairly new and known for productions like Kamichu, Baccano, Kure-nai, etc. Too bad about what happened lately though!

Agreed, although the secret option, "Do not accept challenges to watch this at all!" is the most ideal.
Even their best work lately like the natsume sequels and penguin drum have suffered from inconsistency production-quality wise.
They are just doing their otaku cash in!

I embrace CG, and I certainly enjoy it when it is used right. But getting talented mecha designers to create unique robots each fitting their personal styles and then making it all look generic CG with weak detailing in the actual show is just a terrible idea!
Studios should work towards their strengths. I expect studios with good CG directors and digital teams to use CG more, and I expect studios who excel at traditional animation to use that to distinguish themselves as well.

Fuck Kaito. I just wanted to punch that asshole this episode. Oh and I hope Men in Black deport Ichika back to her home planet. Also, Mio is a nudist and she was wearing an apron this episode. Does this mean what I think it means? Oh yeah and Lemon had a funny line or something.
Can't believe how quickly this anime went from enjoyable to annoying. I don't want to continue it but might as well see what the fuck they will do with that movie they have been working on

Did you really expect Kaito and Kanna to hook up? I mean, it was obvious how things were going to play out from the first episode.
I doubt it, but its a Konami property so the studio gets paid by contract I think?

What would have been the point of having Ichika then? You don't have a random alien girl crash into an ordinary high school boy unless the two of them are going to become a couple.

Dunno, maybe her life is too weak on Earth or she has to go back to save her planet or something. I don't know, I don't claim this to be a good idea, but it's the only idea I have for a Kanna end

He was using CGI in his works as far back as Macross Plus, so that's not too surprising. That's pretty inoffensive as far as CG vehicles go. They even used traditional animation for the closeup of the wheel.
I dunno, the vehicle looks fine actually. The CG shading is pretty consistent with how the characters themselves tend to look in the show anyway. CG is not always bad!
Real life is already 4D, we need to go 5D.
If anime becomes 3D that will be the collapse of the otaku industry

Sakamichi no Apollon Episode 2
That jamming scene is without a doubt the best scene of the year so far. So much energy! The music is interspersed real well with the show making it feel like their everyday lives is some kind of jazzy dance.
I have to say though that the first and second halves of the episode highlight how much material they are going through. There's a disconnect with the themes of both halves and I felt that it could have been handled as separate episodes quite easily.
But this is a minor quibble. I love this show. The bro-ness between Kaoru and Sentarou and the mysterious new character might allay my fears of the story turning into some dorama-y triangle. (or take it hardway in the other direction). All in all, still great!

I haven't been following currently airing shows for that long, maybe only a couple of years, but this season definitely has a great amount of quality and variety in genres and themes.

Average animation? Ichigo going bankai, as well as Renji's Zabimaru never look that bad animation wise. Not the best Bleach movie but certainly not that terrible.
