Wii U Speculation thread IV: Photoshop rumors and image memes

You design doesn't take into account that the 'classic controller' doesn't have a screen...

You mean because it's still square? Like I said before, that's because I'd rather have the hardware match. I'll see what it looks like more round, though.

Also, let me go ahead and say this: I can take snarky comments just fine, but it would be appreciate that you guys take into account that I'm just doing this for fun, and to further conversation. I'm not trying to force a design on anyone. Suggestions are welcome, but I'd rather they be constructive.

What? That doesn't describe this sexy beast at all.

No, it looks ok, but it feels cheap. That's what I was trying to say, it had nothing to do with the looks.

Looks like a cheap gamepad for pc.

Documents have been found pointing to unoptimized middleware being the culprit and that has since been resolved. It's the most likely explanation at hand at the moment.

Ahh ok cool. Interesting.

....

Does anyone else find themselves looking more forward to e3 than Christmas? Or any other day of the year for that matter :p

Haha...to be an Nintendo fan.

That how I described my excitement for E3 to my fiance. I told her it was like being a kid waiting for Christmas at the beginning of December. The excitement is almost unbearable.

I haven't played with the CCPro, but if its anything like the original CC, it can fuck itself. Cheap piece of trash

The only reason the CCPro might feel "cheap" is because it's so light, which is actually the best part about it. That and the comfort that's only second to the GC controller.

Might be cheap but it still looks sexy. I like my CCP though I use it mainly for snes games and the snes feel it gives makes it awesome to me. It still feels pretty cheap compared to xbox 360 controller I guess, CCP is an after thought of an control scheme anyway not the main controller for the Wii of course.

I thought IceDoesntHelp's opinion of the Wavebird was bad, but fuck Congressman, you managed to out suck him.

):
I do not suck.

I just prefer Wired Controllers d:
I love the original GameCube controller, but just don't like the Wavebird. What's wrong with that? ):

Yes, the original sucked balls but in anxious to try the pro. I remembered trying to play Smash with it and having to like tilt it on its side to use it comfortably. Also I thought it was lame how Brawl wouldn't let you customize it to move with the dpad.

You know how Olympus Mons is the tallest known mountain in the solar system?
If the amounts of wrong in your opinion could be visualized as a mountain, it would twice as high.
Don't worry though, Congressman's opinion would be 4* your height.

I gave up all the mainline gaming podcasts yonks ago for much the same reasons.

However, if you wish to listen to a general gaming podcast that is Nintendo friendly [because many of the contributors were SNES fanboys] then give the Eurogamer podcast a try. I especially recommend the earlier episodes, even though they are now out of date, because they had the same sort of shambolic, irreverent approach as GFW did but with much less of the intellectualising. They have got far too professional recently for my liking but are still well worth a listen.
Thanks for the heads-up - I'll have to take a listen to it. Good Nintendo podcasts are worth their weight in gold for my work setting.

And this may sound a bit weird.. but, I kinda really like old podcasts. They come with fantastic timestamps of their original airdates; with pop culture and current events references punctuating the proceedings, it's like looking (well, listening) back in time. I've been listening to back episodes of the podcasts I named in order to get a good historical recap of this past generation, and hearing the predictions
(and developers' empty bullshit praise for the Wii)
from back then so that I can compare/contrast results is always entertaining.

I really hope some of you don't judge people on whether or not they like a piece of plastic. There's much more important matters at hand, such as if you
actually enjoy Other M :p

Anyway, this is the last I'll say about the CCP. Overstatements aside, I do feel that the CCP is of lower quality that I usually expect out of Nintendo. It's way too light and flimsy feeling for my taste, specifically the shoulder buttons.

Has anyone else noticed that the form factor would make the controller tilted when layed down on its back yet the videos show it laying flat and even? (Golf demo, board game, rayman legends scanner thingy) I wonder if a stand or something will be built in.

Dude, thisisneojaf.jpg!

borrowed it, got stuck with no apparent or unapparent way out immediately ...returned it. i kinda liked it for that 1h or what though ;D

I like light controllers, might be that I played Starcraft with a wireless mouse with batteries for the longest time, and it was actually a physical workout. Now my featherweight Razer...holy mouse of god. Will never understand why people want weight in their controller.

My issues with the Classic Controller PRO is that is indeed a cheaply made controller due to it's price. It's still quality, but not the quality of a more expensive controller obviously. My other issue is that there isn't anything in the backside of the controller for your fingers to rest properly except a flat surface.

It's still a decent controller though.

WB > 360 >>>>>>>>>>>>> CC

360 controller is nice, but the Wavebird is a lot more comfortable for me personally. All it needs is two thumbsticks, L3/R3, and a L1 button and it'd be perfect.

If people can argue endlessly over the toys they plug into their tvs, then they can certainly bicker over the method of how they control said toy.
Not that this discussion is anything more than playful jabs at one another.

That's so stupid.

You guys must not have ever played on the NES/SNES/Genesis.

I bet Nintendo thinks nobody liked the Gamecube controller because of how it was pretty ruthlessly mocked for looking like a toy and having weird buttons.

Oh well, you never know what you have until it's gone~

(I've never used a Classic Pro, so I can't really comment.)

Somebody doesn't really understand how HDDs work, I see.

He also doesn't understand the concept of consumer friendliness. Or what is considered baseline common among common consumers.

There's so much wrong there, the personal attack against guek should be getting him banned if someone reports it.

But that's neither here nor there, I stand by my opinion in the other thread that external HDD options are better for consumers that the solutions offered by MS or Sony.

We're in another thread taking Vane_MagicCity to school.

I just hope that bg (or anyone else from here) doesn't get too passionate. Sometimes this kind of arguing is a fool's errand, and I don't want to lose any more Ninthings 'round here. We need all hands on deck for E3.

He's also suppose to drop a hint before E3.

So, what's supposed to be the debate in that thread? Wii U will support External HDDs, what's the format issue here?

I have no idea about that either... are they arguing whether or not the Wii-U will even offer to format the drive plug and play style or do you have to pre-format ahead of time on a PC or something

We're passionate but reasoned. I think, so long as you're completely reasoned, you can't leap over the deep end.

I'm probably one of the more... lively debaters around this thread, and I haven't been banned yet, so I think we're all pretty safe for now.
