I promised myself I wouldn't buy any more COD games (last one was MW2) but if they release a Vita version with a full online experience, I'll buy it day one.

That's like, a tiny corner of a huge shot, focusing on the far-distant skybox elements, shit you wouldn't even bother to look at in the game, it's only there to fill the skyline. Seems a bit silly to fixate on it.

EDIT: I'd rather have 60fps, sir. Superfluous details be damned.

At a random guess I would imagine it is because it is set in the same Universe as Black Ops, MW series as far as I know has no interaction with anything Treyarch has done, they have their own universes with separate continuity that they follow.

This will probably have something that links back to the events in Black Ops.

tanks and planes in multiplayer = day one...if not still probably be a day one just cause i'm a sucker for hype but i'll play it than probably quickly return to battlefield 3....

I was one of those people who felt like MW3 might just be my last COD ride for a while.


But this chance for BLOPS 2 being more "futuristic" is definitely something I find intriguing. A COD with future weapons sounds kinda cool to me. This went from a "not interested" to "might buy" just based on the setting change.

I wonder if they are going to change any form of the technology running the game. Surely there must be some new tech in the engine.

A near future game running on at least a 5 year old engine. gg.

It would make sense for it to be backwards on the other side, to make it look like it's flying backwards as the vehicle moves forward. Maybe they just reversed the image.

Future warfare? Why is this called Black Ops, I hope this is for more than marketing reasons. Time travel or some shitty connection back to the original cold war/black ops.

In any case its the most interesting change up with CoD since CoD4. Since its treyarch, future zombies? How about aliens instead.

There are always small tweaks to the engine of each game.


But anyone expecting a completely overhauled engine is living in a fantasy world. They've been using the same engine for this entire gen, and that is not going to change right near the end of a generation. You'll see a new COD engine when we get new console hardware.

I actually trust Treyarch to make a better game than IW, which is crazy. hopefully they have large maps and some focus on vehicles
