That game runs so insanely smoothly for being as high detail as it is, it's kind of nuts.

I want this game to be so good, so so badly. And to release like, yesterday.

Sadly, having played plenty of IB1 and 2 I can't imagine anything beyond a grind fest with a huge paywall in there somewhere.

Those assets look far too good to provide much content in a sub 2gig game.

Is there a consensus best golf game for the iPad?

As much as I hate to support EA, I got Tiger 12 on sale a couple weeks ago, and it's surprisingly good. I haven't played a lot, I know you do have to earn money to play certain tournaments etc. which you can also get via IAP, not sure how much grinding is required if you don't want to spend real cash.

My most wanted genre in terms of a quality entry. Currently, yeah you have something like Stick Golf, or Flick Golf, Flick Golf Extreme...then there's are the terribly uninspired Let's Golf series which retains nothing of what made Hot Shots Golf so great (solid gameplay). Tiger Woods is just a port of the PSP version (which I didn't care for...really just prefer Hot Shots).

Maybe there's one out there that I'm missing, but the Flick Golf series is the only golf-related game on iOS that I play mostly. http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/flick-golf-hd/id400492358?mt=8

Thanks for the help guys. New to the iPad and it's games. Friend also mentioned stick golf but I'll check the others out too.

Yeah, Tiger 12 is probably the best "sim" golf. Super Stickman Golf would be my next most played and favorite. If you can get Let's Golf 1 or 2 somehow (I think there's a pack that has LG1 in it), they're very Mario Golf/Hot Shots feeling. Let's Golf 3 is bad. The IAP's are MISERABLE, and the laggy shot meter makes it unplayable.

Supported it because it's GAF-made. IAP doesn't get in the way. Didn't like the "cute" zombies aesthetic (you guys should seriously consider putting out the EXACT same game with dark music, dark art-style, and more enemy weapon types and you could hit two markets at once), but it grows on you. I've only played a few levels, so perhaps the grouping mechanic hasn't been introduced yet, but the game REALLY needs a real time sub map and a way to quick travel to different teams ala amoebattle. Your maps are pretty large, and the "press and hold" to select groups of units works after you get the hang of it (especially when you continue dragging your finger wherever to select any unit), but too often I'll tap to create a way point when i really wanted to jump to another unit group. Setting unit groups and being able to toggle between them would make this game much easier to navigate. As is, it's pretty polished and fun.

Get that money! Same game, more atmospheric and creepy, different art style, sell both to two different crowds ;)

Yeah early on in development we decided to go for a broader appeal. I totally can see your version of the game working, it's just a smaller hardcore market.

Even now, we have people saying the controls are too complicated. <shrug> Like what can we do, we tried to streamline the controls as much as possible. Adding a mini map and saving group selections would only add more complexity.

Ahh what to do. Thank you for the support though, it's much appreciated.

So how is Lego Harry Potter? My daughter loves Lego and talks about Harry Potter all the time (not having seen the movies nor read the book). Any good?

It would be played on the new iPad.

Been playing New Star Soccer today, very addicting.

I purchased the full version for 99 cents via IAP, how is IAP info saved? If I delete the game and re download it at a different point will my IAP full purchased still be available or will I have to buy the game again?

It's tied to your Apple ID, so you can restore it anytime.

What? SNK Playmore have released King of Fighters i-2012 version??

I bought the first one. Its based on KOF XIII just like the first 2011 game. But I'm annoyed. I thought that they were gonna just keep adding characters to the first 2011 game.

Instead they've taken the 2011 game added tons more characters, made it incompatible with the 2011 game, called it 2012 and charged a fresh £4.99 for it!!

Two iOS games based off the same KOF XIII arcade game. I'm unimpressed.

Yeah, I'm on my fourth playthrough and have a massive amount of high dollar stuff I still need to unlock. Didn't realize Stinky the Snail collects Zen garden coins while you're away, so that's helping.

the snail is sleepy and falls asleep quickly (and thus stops picking up coins)

It still is a great game, but they have added a lot of padding to encourage purchasing of IAPs

Yeah, actually I thought he was referring to Pizza vs Skeletons for some reason, but PvZ I love unconditionally.

As an aside -- and I know it's a fairly old game at this point -- but anyone have an opinion about Command & Conquer: Red Alert?

galaxy on fire 2 messed up for me a while ago, my old save would load up and my ship was all wrong and had no idea what to do (I did not play it for months when multiple patches rolled out, thus breaking my current ship from an older build) but I bought the HD version for my new ipad.

Looks really good and I can see the improvements they made to textures on the retina screen, rather sad about the sloppy frame rate in retina res though but it's also nice how you can choose to play the game in the older resolution if you want to.

I will try to finish it this time.

NOVA 3 campaign looks like a generic rip of Crysis 2 this time...

NOVA 3 multiplayer, on the other hand, is looking pretty impressive:

NOVA 2 multiplayer is still one of my favorite things on iOS, god I hope this runs well on iPhone 4 but I fear Gameloft will screw up optimization and just focus on A5+.
Holy crap that looked amazing. I probably won't get it... Just can't do those controls on the iPad. But man, usually that game is incredible.

Sounds bad, but Capcom did the same thing with Street Fighter Volt. That was a huge hit for them. Can't imagine that SNK wouldn't do the same thing.

Played a bit more Mass Effect: Infiltrator. Damn good game with an engagingly brutal difficulty curve imo, iOS Dead Space got far too much hype and Mass Effect: Infiltrator got far too little.

What about the IAPs how does that affect gameplay?

To be clearer, I don't own it and have not played it.
I only have an iPad and refuse to play iPhone games at 2x.

However, going by comments I've read, IAP is just gold which can be obtained by simply playing.
It would seem to be a shortcut for the lazy or generous.

Sorry to repost this question but hoping someone may know. Does anyone know of any games like Fifa 12 that let you use the iPhone as a controller for the iPad? Especially multiplayer games..

Ski Safari is on freeappdaily, I played a couple of games but it seems really good, uses the formula of tiny wings.
