PSM3: Sony has one big surprise for E3 that is not the PlayStation 4.

Why not? Would be cool to get access to that many apps, and if it could have xperia play support for games, that would have been nice as well. I don't think there is any possibility of this happening, but I don't see the problem.

FFVXIII, Metal Gear Rising, and The Last Guardian are all actually concept builds of the same game Rockstar North has been working on since 2006. The game is called Agent.

We might as well make Vita as open source. If you don't see this as a problem (which killed PSP due to piracy) then yeah.

Doesn't sound like it's just going to be another exclusive from one of their 1st parties. Probably some exclusive thing involving a 3rd party like the Value/Portal 2 thing in 2010.

Either that or their next home console being called something other than the PS4.

Doesn't that PS Suite thing use C#, which allows people to write whatever applications too? I'm not quite sure on the details of that though.

At this point I just want them to actually announce some games though, so it dying would actually seem bad.

It seems like every E3 there is one of these types of SONY HAS A BIG EXCLUSIVE THAT'S SUPER SECRET. I don't remember a single one that mattered. So I'm going to assume this is going to be nothing.

It would definitely be nice to have, but that's a pretty shitty "big surprise." It's more like a pretty sweet extra but it's not worth big hype.

My personal hope:

VersusXIII, TGL, FFVIIremake and KHIII reveals/re-reveals with solid release dates. If these three happened together, PS3 would surpass PS2 in my eyes in a heartbeat.

Believe.

Never going to happen but I'm offering a glass of rum to Jobu in the hope that it does.

PSN replaced by Steam

See, I agree, I already have a sweet phone and don't see it as major but I'm sure it would be more major to the mainstream public. I don't expect any major release announcement though, E3 has been massively disappointing each year in term of unexpected announcements.

Sony replaced with Valve sounds better. I would give so much to have a Valve Playstation. Sony is just horrible nowadays.

Yeah Valve being a billion dollar company, their huge manufacturing history and fantastic logistics networks would give me great confidence in a Valve Playstation

You're joking right?

Vita redesign already?

Seriousness: I think it'll be some kind of addon for the PS3 though. Maybe finally bringing over the DVR to the US.

"Android" for PS Vita and "Google TV" for PS3 would be nice and would make a lot of sense with Microsoft pushing Metro and Apple planning on entering the TV market. There are already strong ties to Google, Sony Vaio laptops are coming with Google Chrome as default browser and Sony Xperia phones are using Android. And the PS Vita has an ARM CPU, which makes it quite easy to port Android to it.
