Do women see extremely muscular men the same way men see anorexic women?

This thread is... I just can't. :D Oh, you crazy straight guys!
Flip this around and it's what I think every time we have a hot women thread. Don't get anything out of the pictures here, but I see a female body and damn, what a work if art.

I don't know that it should be unusual for straight guys to view each other objectively. It makes sense to me to compliment or respect those who've obviously worked hard for their physique. It's not like you can make up some bullshit about them not looking good.

You make friends at any gym and you'll hear critiques and about bodies fairly often. "This is what I want/am going for," "do I look symmetrical/you think I need to work on my shoulders/bis/traps" etc.

Patrick Bateman wins this thread from both a male and female perspective, hands down. Bale is cut as anything in that movie. Realistically speaking, I'd imagine that 95% of girls would be more than happy with a body like Gosling's.

EDIT: And there's nothing wrong with appreciating the male physique at its best. I just don't want to touch it.

Has anyone read this blog; http://heartiste.wordpress.com/2012...men-less-physically-attractive-than-they-are/

It's quite interesting. It's about how women want to be with men less physically attractive than themselves, as they can't guarantee that a very attractive man won't stray in pursuit of other women. The blog concludes that ultimately looks are important for both sexes, but less for women than for men, as they are also attracted to other things like confidence, status and men who are greatly desired/respected by others (the boyband scream effect.)

I wonder if being an attractive man can really be a problem for some.

Indeed we should. Tell us what male bodies you crave straight men.
I prefer a man in his early 40s who has peppery hair and a ruddy, muscular physique. The kind you get from working construction in tight Hanes tees and jeans, them coming home and lifting until he's drenched in sweat. It's also important to gave a nice smile and some stubble with clean teeth. Hair grooming is important too as trimming dick balls and ass is nice. Good genital shape, thick with a nice defined vein or two.

Objectively speaking of course, since I'm straight.

I read an interview where he said he had to eat a ridiculous amount of food to keep that bulk up. As soon as he stopped eating so much he lost a lot of it IIRC.

If you can afford it though, go for it.

This is fucking key right here. Its expensive as fuck to eat healthy and eat enough for that bulk. I know this from my personal experience. I think im getting to a point where im fairly happy with my build but i still got a damn layer of flab on my midsection that is impossible to get rid of.

This thread is just becoming a question of what men respect and what works. Back in the old days, people used to go to the gym to get big and musclar because it was to push a limit. Th bigger the body, the more dedication you had.

Now we got these sad excuse for men who just aim for just abs. or a little muscle. it doesn't matter anyway. if you were going to the gym. you would understand you can't stop at just little muscle. you want to know if you can bench 135 one week then 185 the next.

don't understand the appeal of being bone skinny. their weakness seems like they are abusing the benefit of society's generosity.

alot of dumbass comments about muscular guys here.

What do you guys think of this man?

Eugen Sandow, the father of body building. He modeled his physique after Greek and Roman statues.

Do a set and chill brah

1: Why do these guys go so overboard with the muscles? Yeah it may be a sport for them, but in the end what they really want is to impress ladies, amirite?

This is an awfully big assumption. I'm willing to bet most of them do it for themselves or in order to be bigger than other guys.

Bateman is nice but he should do some squats!

Sounds like total BS to me, but then again I'm not an alpha male which seems to be what that blog is all about.

No way, his legs are just right to achieve a V shaped taper with his upper body.

....now perhaps you can explain why its perfect.

He's not incredibly muscular, but he is still pretty built, and he also has a perfect amount of body hair. He also has incredible shoulders.

[edit]I think the above picture must be just after he wrapped up PoP? He was ridiculous in that film, a bit too much tbh.

I think its more about how a man carries himself rather than how big his muscles are. But men with muscles can seem to carry themselves / have more self respect and present themselves better than, well, fat slobs.

I have never been a fan of muscle because I don't like how 'cocky' most men carry themselves when they have it. I see them as peacocks most of the time, wearing tight shirts and trashy oiled hair. You see them at the club dancing the beefcake dance and it makes me wanna facepalm.

Then I saw 300 and I was drooling the entire time. Those bodies are amazing and they just seemed so natural. Which, when seeing the making of videos on how they obtained their bodies, it made so much sense.

My husband, for the hell of it, tried out some natural ways to work out and build muscle, just to see what would happen and He was amazed at how malleable the body is depending on what you eat and when you eat and exercise. In 3 months he went from skinny guy to lean and ripped. He then stopped his routine and in 3 months went back to skinny guy. He said it was a pretty successful experiment.
Though I didn't care what he looked like, he's always perfect to me :3

I approve!

I love the golden era of bodybuilding mostly because it wasn't just bodybuilding and then prancing around on stage in a thong but also performing feats of strength, flexibility, and mobility.

I'd love to achieve Sandow's look.

This is what my little brother is going for. He did pretty well for about a year working out normally, and now is taking about 800mg of three different injections a week. What was it that Zyzz took to bulk up? Tren? My brother is taking tren, test enth, dnp, and something else I can't recall.

So I am not sure I would call Zyzz the best role model! But then, I am not sure if that was even implied by your post.

I am not a fan of steroid use as a way of leapfrogging progress. I am not necessarily against it, but as a person who believes "it's the journey, not the destination," it's tough for me to see steroids as anything other than a way of cheating yourself out of personal learning.

As a guy I think my ideal would be somewhere around the Reynolds muscle/body fat. I also gotta say I am a fan of toned women. Not bulky, but enough that they are obviously into fitness.

He is cutting currently with DNP? Or is he using DNP with test and tren as an actual cycle? Odd. Anything can be done but thats an unusual combo.

This thread is hilarious.

Most women probably prefer a "fit" guy over a not fit guy and all the varying stages that come with it. Those body builder pics you post where they are covered in bronzer are not how those guys look all the time, that's simply for show. THAT type of look is not sustainable and most of them are at varying levels of dehydration at that point.

As the lady above me said, it's more about confidence and not being a douche. If you're fit, you're going to be more confident and more ladies will be attracted to you.

As for "what type of fit" they prefer, that's entirely subjective and runs the gamut.

Personally I like muscular woman, but I know many who don't.

Here's what I like since this thread is full of men.

He's just too muscular. Plus he has that weird thing where his waist looks smaller than his hips which is weird looking tbh.

I think that's hot, but I'm a gay dude.

Anyway, as far as the thread topic goes... I say look the way you want for yourself and not to attract other people.

Gotta be happy with yourself before the right person will be into you. I'd want someone to be into me for the way I am/strive to be, not because I'm trying to please others.

P.S. Muscle is hot.

This is basically where I am right now so this post makes me happy.

I don't have his manly chest hair, though, damnit.

Trust me, I have the same problem at 5'11" and 135lbs.

Damn I thought being 6'3" and 175 was bad. Actually I look pretty damn good IMO but whenever I say that's how much I weigh I get weird looks.

My neighbor told me I was built really nice a few weeks ago... I wasn't really sure how to take that from a middle aged married man but I said thanks and laughed when I got back inside.

I like folks around my age, 20ish with some muscles and fit I guess, most of the fellas in here posted pics of dudes with insane muscles, something subtler than that is ok, what a weird thing to discuss...

I'm sick of people talking about confidence. Confidence is a feedback loop, it doesn't just appear like magic.

Duh? Getting fit builds confidence. Being better than average builds confidence. Not being an out of shape loser builds confidence.

Anything that makes you "better" builds confidence.

He has the dnp but is not using it yet. Keeps saying that he wants to while he's juicing on this other stuff. It was either deca or dbol on top of all the rest. Can't remember. He keeps trying to get me to try it but it's not my thing.

He is taking a huge amount of this stuff. 900mg of tren each dose.

He's about 6'4" and 250lbs. Pretty big dude.
