So I'm going to buy VVVVVV but I'm thinking of getting it on Sunday to add the coins to the new year. If I bought it now I would only get 5 more coins according to the spreadsheet and not get added to the new year, correct? Just wanna make sure ;)

Nah, you don't get the coins automatically. You have one week from after you download the game to fill out a survey and claim your 10 coins (which will be reduced to 5 as of July 1st)

10 coins for the registration survey is immediately available, and 10 coins for the post-play comes a week after.

2012 Elite Status: Platinum (600 coins)

2011 Elite Status: Platinum (680 coins)

2010 Elite Status: Platinum (620 coins)

2009 Elite Status: Gold (350 coins)

Last year I already had Platinum but I had to register OoT 3D for the soundtrack so I went over. This year I was more exact.

unlikely, but you never know.

I don't think they would just arbitrarily de-list rewards, it probably happens when they run out of stock. If it wasn't a particularly in-demand item, then I guess it gets removed permanently.

Due to the nature of Ball, chances are they have tons of them still.

So how long does it typically take for a Registration survey to appear? I just bought VVVVVV about 20 minutes ago to get my 600th coin, but it hasn't showed up yet. For some reason I thought it was instant. The official site says this:

Also, they JUST added the Tote Bag to the Unavailable items list. It wasn't like that a few hours ago.

Edit: It just showed up. Never mind!

Added up all my points from day one...just under 8000. Spent them all though!

Actually started getting the odd free game, which is fun. Would never have paid for Urban Champion 3D, but now I have it.

hmmmmmm i have some surveys that i am saving til tomorrow because i already got 600 coins for the year and want to use it for next years platinum

will those values go down 0_o , it says as of right now:

post play surveys
Donkey kong 94' - 10 coins
wii play- 10 coins
kid icarus 3D classics - 10 coins
kid icarus uprising- 20 coins



so all of those coin totals will go down tomorrow? D:

I knew I hadn't been keeping up with putting my codes in, but I just found 20 DS games and at least 4 Wii games I hadn't registered. This is gonna take hours...

Wait, how do you know this? How do you know what is dropping then? Because only thing I saw posted before was this which said that kid icarus is going UP in value from 30 coins to 40. I'm confused now how the new 3DS kid icarus is going down.

It's a little confusing; what Nintendo is doing for 3DS retail games is increasing the value of Nintendo published titles to 40 coins from previously 30, while decreasing the value of all 3DS retail post-play surveys from 20 to 10.

Ah, ok. But in the end it's a wash. I lose nothing by doing it now or later, it still adds up to the 50 coins overall? Is this the game with the ds games that are increasing to 40? Will the pending surveys be counted against me? So if I have a pending post play for say pokemon white that is going to 40 but I only got thirty and I do the survey tomorrow, will it still give me the 20 due to when I registered or will it drop to ten and then I lose ten points since my new max would 40 coins instead of 50? Sorry for the questions, the thing on their site that I found seems to do a shitty job of explaining.

Right, the idea is the net value stays at 50 coins.

What about ds though? The list I saw that's what I linked to in my other post. But since DS games were already 10 do I lose anything by waiting? Are those dropping to 5 or anything? Like Pokemon Black/White is increasing to 40 coins and is a regular DS game. Is anything happening to the post play survey of 10? Or is it just the 3DS post play survey is changing and all Wii, DS, and DSI postplay surveys are staying the same and only initial registration is dropping? I know the initial is dropping, I'm just curious about non-3DS post play and if I should be worried.

To put it as simply as possible, the only things whose coin values are changing (either up or down) are registration values EXCEPT for the 3DS, where the value of its retail post-plays are decreasing by 10, and the value of its eShop game registration surveys are decreasing by 5.

I've been Platinum for months now, but I have so many pending surveys and games to register (wasn't expecting Tales of the Abyss 3DS to have a code!), I may reach Platinum for next year within the first week. Heh.

I was at 570 points and I thought I was screwed but I managed to find an old DS game that I forgot to register, so I managed to get myself up to an exact 600 points. Horray for Platinum!

Alright that's what I assumed but just wanted to double check. Sucks I get less coins for registering my pokemon games months ago rather than tomorrow though. So weird.

yeah :(

I was also forced to reg a handful of Wii games a few weeks ago as they were each dropping by 30 and I didn't care to lose out on that many coins. Chances are I'll be okay for Platinum next year anyway.

Just to reiterate again for those unfamiliar with Club Nintendo: reaching Platinum status means you have to earn 600 coins within the past year, not the nominal 600 coin balance. The site may have a bug that says you reached Platinum status when your total coin balance reaches 600, but this is wrong so don't get fooled.

I've been Platinum for four years now! I'll have no trouble getting Platinum next year with both the 3DS XL and Wii U coming out between now and then.

Finished doing around 20 post play surveys and got to 640 coins with everything off of my To-Do list. I swear do not disappoint with a crappy Platinum reward this year NoA. (stupid Mario pin set)

Also really really really wish some of the Nintendo OSTs would make it here to America. The Ocarina of Time OST was nice, but I would like OSTs for Mario Galaxy 1 + 2, plus Skyward Sword, Kid Icarus Uprising and more.

I really struggle to understand why we haven't received any soundtracks on Club N yet. CDs must be among the cheapest items to manufacture and ship, and they could easily get away with charging a hefty amount of coinage for those.

At least there was the Ocarina CD, which I cherish, but it was amazingly limited.

On the site it says that I've earned 940 coins for 2012 (oh god, I have no idea how this happened), does this mean I'm getting the Platinum reward?
