I repeat: worst couple ever

Claymore

Well, it did seem rushed. That being said, considering how long it took us to get to this point, I'm glad things are speeding up a bit.

Girls of the Wild's

Damn. Cheap shot! Like I said, this better be a really good win. Anything less than a humiliating loss for the redhead is, well, unacceptable!

Edit: After some googling I'm not sure if this is legit or just flagrant copyright infringement.

Magi - Chapter 116

Pretty good reflective epilogue to the current arc. It's shounen as fuck though, with all the posing and character defining statements. I wonder where the story will go next. I hope they don't waste too much time before getting into the thick of things. This chapter seems to suggest there's going to be a period of calm before the storm though, with all the characters and factions preparing and recovering before the next big thing hits.

Silver Spoon - Chapter 48

I actually read this a few days ago but forgot to post. Not much to say here, except that actual Equestrian jumping competitions don't look anything as dramatic or exciting as it does in this manga. I should know, I watched a few of the Olympic events... big mistake. Lol.

Not enough suffering.

That's because you can't see all the suffering and drama! But yes, watching the equestrian events at the Olympics is indeed a big mistake.

Just like my dreams.

Hmm...so I'm not really sure what to say about this one. I think I like Asano's other works better. I feel like Asano didn't have a good understanding or control of his symbolism. It seems forced and unpolished. And he definitely got better with his use of quick cuts with AGBTS. However, the "ugly" adults, wacky bystanders (two guys on bicycles flashing a woman), and snot are all there. It is just a much rougher work.

The story is quite good and relatable. The one thing I keep thinking to myself is that I would like to meet a mangaka who writes in this style. I've gotten to know many people from Japan with my new job and I can't even envision these ideas to be common culture. Or at least maybe it is more along line with a rebellious collection of ideas. Or a work where somebody just writes down with everyone is thinking. It does give me an idea though about the office culture, dying hair, etc... The Japanese culture is very stiff in many ways and Solanin just sort of shows the way to escape it. I wouldn't have thought this 6 months ago but I've learned a bit.

So yea, I sort of get those ideas better. But the rest of the story is universal, no matter the culture. Being "free" leads to being "bored." Losing control in the midst of emotion. Selling out is particularly something I can sort of relate to. Not to the extreme of the characters but I also went for money over what I studied, leading the passion to just a hobby... I also know a girl who works 4 small jobs and is upset about lack of pay. Yet all her jobs directly help people or affect them in some way. From my standpoint though, the money just leads me to helping myself. And even if you help others, it is just going to further them helping themselves. It's conflicting regarding what is actually better.

The tragedy is also very relatable, especially the swing in emotions. Only a few days ago I was given news that that I may have to say goodbye to my sister. And you realize that sometimes all you can do is hang on to hope, even if it keeps shrinking and shrinking. It's just life lessons, shit you realize over time. It's up to the reader whether the story is depressing. Cause if think so, then you find life depressing. If you see the positives in such a story, you'll see the positives in life. It's that kind of story.

I made the same mistake coming off of the latest Silver Spoon chapter. Thankfully it only took less than 5 minutes to realize my error in judgement.

For unknown reasons I've spent the last days to search for and archive all of the WSJ covers to date and somehow I've found all but three (issue #2, 3/4 and 10 from 2001) but now I'm out of idea whrere to look. I've asked on the MH forums but there's no response yet. Maybe some of you have some ideas. It would be much easier if I could speak Japanese I guess.

Though I still can't figure out if that's some sort of poster spread or the alternate volume 2 cover that's supposed to come with NEXT.
Pretty sure it's the alternate cover. I don't remember ever seeing a full-on color poster in NEXT, especially for one of the bangai-hens. And the image on the official NEXT page shows cut-out marks.

Then again kanji turns me into a pansear to what do I know.

I guess they weren't satisfied with the questionable garment on Kuroyukihime. Fuck this shit.

loli imouto time

This is why childhood friend is best, except I guess she's not really part of the eventual harem anymore. Because there is no justice.

And on the wrong team!

Pandora Hearts 31

The revelation of whom The Will of The Abyss is, is actually shocking. I do not know how I feel about it and the implications it now has in the present time. Oz should never have gotten so close to Alice. Kevin is Break?

Are you trolling or are you actually being serious? Jw.

Oh, I thought you found a unique website with all of them. Thanks.
Alors, why is Arnold on this cover ? Bwahahaha.
It would have saved me a lot of time if that was the case. I'm considering upload them somewhere so we can finally have such a site but I have no idea how to, maybe a minus.com gallery?

That would be great man.
I guess minus.com is cool.

Until Death Do Us Part [6-10]

Everyone in this manga barring the loli is a badass.

There's a lot interesting elements outside of the action though, here's to hoping it gets even better.

I did a quick Japanese hunt, the best result had covers for 2001 issues 11-52, which means it has none of the ones you're looking for.

I don't think you need them save for completionist purposes. Issue 3/4 is a One Piece cover (there's a lot of those), 10 is a Kochikame cover (there's 36 years of those), and 2 is a GUN BLAZE WEST cover (which would probably be nice to have, but it's nowhere to be found anyway).

Wait I just realized.

The next time superior Manga-Wednesdays is upon us, we might already be in OT6.

Ah, this is such a funny series. 4-koma style, works really well. I like all the whole love circle going on and great jokes too.

So this is the kind of stuff dakkumauji likes:

Yeah, it was one of the sites I got the covers from. There's another site with all the covers as thumbnails from the beginning to 2003 but of course 2001 and 2002 are missing. I've seen a photo with the spines of all 2001 issues so I know what's on the cover but it was no help. It surprises me that at least issue 3/4 with OP on the cover isn't somewhere to find. It's pretty frustrating to be so close to completion.
