Vita PSX compatibility list (Bad, SCEA! Bad!)

So can't tranafer ff7 or Mgs over from ps3. Gnna try the bubble instead. Also, the vita psn store is not updated yet so I can't direct download ff7 either.

Dear Sony Computer Entertainment of Canada, please split off from SCEA and so your own shit.

Sincerely, Canadian Playstation fans.
Keep tring. Those games should transfer.

If it's a day that ends in y, Sony will screw something up.

It's like buying a new car. Never buy the first ones, wait until they sort out the technical problems.

I'll give them a month and see what happens.

I transferred BOFIV but I needed to update the firmware on my PS3 to get it to work. Did that come out today as well? I haven't been prompted to update recently and I've bought stuff from the store

Just an FYI for anyone having trouble, that might be it

So I am playing Symphony of the Night and tried to turn on analog mode and it would not let me. I hate using the d-pad to move in any game. Can this be changed in customized controls? I'm guessing that since the original game did not support it, you can't but I know you could choose to use analog on the PSP.

So I was signed into my Japanese account to play Minna 6 and the update came across so I updated my system and now it is telling me that the memory card is tied to my Japanese account and I have to format it to use with my US account. I know how to switch accounts just fine and about activating the vita. I'm kind of freaking out here as most of my data is from the US side and I don't want to format my memory card. Any help?

If you have a PS3 to help the list is being filled up right now :p

Oh! Ok, nice. Guess I'll just dl games on PS3 first then transfer whenever I get around to buying a Vita (I'd much rather play PSX games on vita than blown up on my tv).

I wont be getting a Vita til sometime in 2013 though so hopefully there is a lot more up on the Vita store directly by then

If you have a PS3.

Indeed, I've seen far too many people handwave the poor PSP support on the Vita by simply saying "Oh, it works if you have a PS3"

Not everyone owns a PS3! I realize Sony apparently thinks this (at least SCEA) but it's inexcusable. I've spent the last couple years buying a lot of PSP and PS1 games on PSN because I figured I would be able to play them on the Vita.

But nope, since I don't own a PS3.

None of my Spyro games would transfer :(

Transferred FFVII and started to play a bit. Got into the first mako reactor when the entire background disappeared. Cloud was standing alone in a void of nothing. Checking the status screen looked like the game was invaded by missingno's.

By the time you are getting it they should be up by then, but this is Sony LOL

Start reading the thread or read the compatibility thread before going all internet diva here :p

I don't have a PS3. Being a diva because SCEA didn't even put out the games they told us they were (RE2 and Metal Gear Solid). You're supposed to call me entitled, that's the in word for people who don't like bullshit from video game companies.

How do I even download FFVII onto my Vita? I'm trying to go to past download history but FFVII says it's not available for downloading on the Vita PS store.

From your PS3 or wait until they put it on the Vita store.

I said it in the other thread, these games should be available to buy and DL on Vita right now but they aren't. It's a mess up but being that I have a PS3, I'm glad enough. Yes, it's a fail though. I was giving you hell merely.

So is FFVII worth it for someone who's never really played FF?

Played FF8, enjoyed it but never finished it.

So do you need a PS3 to play PS1 titles on the Vita in Europe? Cause PS1 games MIGHT be enough to make me actually buy one, but if I need a PS3 as well...

Sony needs to exit the business world. They don't know how to design a product, release it, market it, support it or do anything with it really. The whole everything surrounding the Vita has been bungled in such an incompetent way.

I loved my PSP but I am not going anywhere near a vita with how Sony is handling this product.

In Europe, all of the games in the OP are directly on the Vita shop, I believe. It's just in America where you need a PS3 for most titles

This is asinine and has no place in this thread.

How do you change the screen size and such? Is it possible?

Hold down the Vita touch screen like in PSP compatibility mode.

And you can remap buttons. Contrary to what was originally discussed.
