Nintendo 3DS Games: what does this thing have?

Like it was mentioned....Theatrhythm, KH3D and Heroes of Ruin are $29.99 each at Gamestop. Sale is going on through the weekend.

If you prefer used copies, they are $27.99 each.

Theatrhythm and Kingdom Hearts are a MUST. If you don't get those games now, then definitely pick them up during next week's "Buy 2 get 1 Free" at Best Buy.

What is the general consensus around here about Pokemon Rumble Blast? I never played the wiiware version so i don't really know how the game plays but I'm curious to find out. Is it good?

Its good if you like Pokemon and don't mind having 'simple fun'.

I play it co-op with my GF though so maybe its boring single player, not sure on that sorry.

Its sorta like a dungeon crawler for babies lol, you go along areas just spamming the attack buttons taking out waves of Pokemon until you get to a boss and finish the stage. Then on to the next one.

The part that got me addicted (other than co-op fun) was when you're fighting the Pokemon there's a chance that Pokemon will 'drop' for you so you collect it and can then use it as your main guy. So we would just spend time farming the ones we wanted.

It's okay, but probably my least favorite game from my collection. Gauntlet with Pokémon. It's fun, and collecting tons of Pokémon while going through different areas definitely works, but it does get repetitive.

Rumble Blast is good, but I was so disappointed when I found out shiny Pokemon aren't a thing in it. That was great in Rumble. Seeing so many Pokemon so fast made the same likelihood just right.

Ace Combat is on my to-get-list because of NeoGAF, I have no idea if I'll like it but we'll see lol.

Devil Survivor is too if it ever comes out in PAL. :|

My Dad just picked up Tekken 3D and Mario Tennis Open for me cheap as locally. :D Yay games I actually want for bargain prices!

Fighting games would be so much better if they all featured a 'quest' sorta mode, something meaty a single player guy could get into, I like Tekken but its really bare-bones as far as single player goes. Even if it was just going through an arcade mode for costumes to unlock or something to keep me playing.

Ah well still fun to play. I understand the main focus of fighting games is the multiplayer, just like it when theres stuff for single player to do too.

Haven't tried Mario Tennis yet but I assume its Mario Tennis (ie good!) hehe.

It's funny, cuz I'm not an RE fan at all either, but this game is my favorite 3DS game. The CPP controls and overall quality of the game won me over.

Also was not an RE fan before this game. Gameplay is great even without the CPP (I don't have CPP).

It's really rare that I go 20 games into a system's life and only dislike one game.

But with 20 3DS game, it amazes me that the only game I don't like out of it is Tales of the Abyss.

Mario Tennis is pretty fun, playing an intense match on a XL isn't as easy on the hands as N64 or GameCube versions but the same fun remains. :D Spent so many hours on them in the past its nice to be playing a MT game again, looks great too.

Options -> Gyro Sensor -> OFF

lol.

We're never gonna get a RPG mode in them again though are we? :(

Most addicting game for me. I couldn't put it down until I beat it. I then wanted to find all the stuff that I missed. You can even walk while aiming, without the CCP, playing like Dead Space or a natural evolution of Resident Evil 4.

Can't go wrong with RE, but I will say are you a big Final Fantasy fan? Like, are you gonna feel feelings when you hear an old fav tune or something?

Theatrhythm is really fun and the gameplay is addictive, but what sends it over the edge of awesome for me is I get that AND the fact that I'm hearing familiar music from a series of games I already love playing at the same time.

I guess the answer is..... get both somehow. :p

What is wrong with Abyss? I thought it was praised by fans on the ps2.

I looked at two stores for this game...is it not out in the US? I thought it was.

I don't like FF that much (grew up watching my older bro play them so I know the music), but I love rhythm games. I got both Theatrhythm and Rhythm Thief and I think Theatrhythm is more fun. I still haven't beat RT, but have over 30 hours in Theatrhythm.

So I finally beat NSMB2 (save for the 1 million coin challenge), it took me 17 hours and 42 minutes. I don't get why reviewers said the game is really short ... it's almost as long as my Super Mario 3D Land playtime (19 hours and 27 minutes).

The game was pretty fun and had a lot of secrets but probably the worst of the three so far in terms of level design.

Oh well, back to Theatrhythm!

Awwww mannnnnnn. I haven't received that email yet but I guess I should prepare myself.

I was looking forward to getting this game :(

Edit: So I decided to go to Gamestop, trade in Pilotwings Resort (which they gave $6 for. Why not? It was a free game from Gamestop and I don't see myself playing it) and used that to buy 4 Heroes of Light, used. Just had to pay 8 bucks from my pocket. I wasn't going to let Best Buy ruin my day, lol.

Just be sure to switch inmediatly to classic control scheme. And Normal difficulty is way easy so you might wanna go ahead and go with hard right away, seeing there's a 4th tier difficulty after you beat the game.

It doesn't even support CCP in the west, but I'm not even sure why one would need one.

Revelations is great but it seems to drag on forever. I think I was close to passing the game but some kid gave me 25 bucks for it so I sold it.
I had passed that underwater part with lasers and shit, how far was I from the end?

Unfortunately no. I hope we'll have better luck with Cave Story+, but I don't expect it sooner than hollidays 2013...

Btw, no news of a new Spotpass costume delivery for DoA Dimensions?

Considering picking up the Pac man/galaga as I enjoy both games in general but not interested in "just another re-release" - worth it? Are the new modes awful? Are CE and Legions in 3D? What's the verdict...
