that's the new nano
Thanks, haven't been able to follow this all.

Maybe not on the same level, but functionality wise, most definitely comparable stuff is there.sorry but as someone who has used android extensively, there is nothing remotely on the level of Facetime. Not sure why that was included.
Come on people. You're trying too hard. Like what you like. End of story.
And you get to carry that fat brick around with you! Lol.
Switch this video to 1080p and you simply can't deny the beauty of the black iphone 5:

The touch is $299 now so I doubt it the iPad mini will be $299.00 as well.So what are your bets on the iPad Mini? My guess is:
$299 - 8 to 16GB - VGA camera for Facetime (no rear facing camera at all) - no Retina Display - maybe the same resolution as the iPhone 5
I would guess $349 as a price, but I don't think Apple ever launches anything at $x49 prices.
Plus you only lose 15% of the energy used to charge the device.
Haha, pretty witty. They should've removed the cable in the back, though.Thought this was funny
The white front only works well with certain colors imo, like blue. The charcoal version is still pretty sexy imo.Looks way less sexy on a photo. don´t want anymore.

The new iPod touch is what stole the show, though. It's kind of amazing imo;
I think the new black version looks great.
If I do the wipe and load to get iOS 6 GM, then will I be able to upgrade to the final release next week without having to wipe my phone again?

unless there's some crazy weird and devastating last minute bug. but it should be the version being loaded onto iPhone 5s being sold in stores in 2 weeks.

Totally agree.I think at this point it's impossible to manufacture on the scale that they do and still keep things secret. They haven't had a launch that wasn't seriously compromised in years.
I think it also hurts that they announce all those new iOS6 features at WWDC. So instead of being wow'ed by stuff like 3D Maps at today's presentation, the press just gets annoyed. "Yeah, already saw that - what's next?"
I think these new Nanos are going to surprise people with the OS. It's the first nano to actually have a comparable version of iOS. Seems like it could work quite well for some people. The price kills it.
I'm waffling about the Nano. I hate iTunes with a fiery passion, but since my Zune broke I've been without a dedicated media player. I really dislike the white front, so black is my only option. It's either pick one of these Nanos up or find a used Zune. Decisions...
Totally agree.
If anything, I've come away thinking they should start announcing new the iOS along side the phones. I'm sure the betas are helpful, but maybe it's time to keep them in-house.
Not to mention the picture featuring both a cable AND the phone's USB port.I'm assuming this is fan-made due to the plural/singular disagreement.
The Verge say the iPod Touch has the exact same display as the iPhone 5 this time.
Yep they confirmed that during the conference.
Does anyone know if Apple/ATT stores will be getting the iPhone 5 in on the 21st? Or is that just the date it ships... I'm trying to decide if I should order it online or go to my local Apple or ATT store to order this.
That kinda explains the new price, looks a lot more upmarket too.The Verge say the iPod Touch has the exact same display as the iPhone 5 this time.
I don't get the point of wanting to keep the unlimited plans anymore since they throttle you as soon you hit the same limit as the standard plans. For people asking if you can keep your unlimited data plan on AT&T, it appears that you just might be able to.

I'm guessing the name "Lightning" isn't just a name. Do we have confirmation that it's USB3? This page seems to imply that it's still only USB2:Does the lightning connector do anything...like tech wise that the 30 pin doesn't?

That's when 5 officially launches and will be available in stores. When I pre-ordered my iPhone 4 it showed up on my doorstep a day earlier than the launch date, and same for a friend who got the 4S at launch. I'd guess the same will happen again. There's really no reason to not pre-order and have it shipped straight to you if you can. Unless you like waiting in long lines.
