I'm not really an importer :(

Too lazy to fiddle through Japanese text, and importing is too expensive, especially from Japan, where games are insanely overpriced.

Ran into Sam"s real fast to get my daughter some cupcakes for her bday and saw this...took a quick pic bit didn't take it anywhere to verify as I was in a rush, Vita for 148 is what the tag said...launch bundle

Woah, that's wild. I got my Vita for $150 but just the standard (Wi-Fi) system.

You'd be missing out on a swath of poorly crafted arguments on a wide variety of topics, including but not limited to: Vita, Sony, Crash Bandicoot.

rofl, sort of fair...I guess.
im high 90% of the time

We'll see. And I'm not letting go of crash either... just for the record ;)

Alrighty, I'm convinced I'll be picking up that shiny white Vita/AC3: Liberation bundle when it hits at the end of October. I've been holding off on picking up a Vita since I wasn't completely sold on the library yet, but stuff like Gravity Rush and, well, AC3: liberation seem like great excuses to pick one up (I'm a big fan of the AC franchise) :)

I saw a video of Soul Sacrifice as well, looks pretty damn cool. The only thing I'm desperately hoping for is for Capcom to eventually get some of their franchises on the Vita. Namely Monster Hunter and/or Resident Evil, but I'm not going to hold my breath given Capcom's current love affair with the 3DS.

Okay, so I just ordered a 32GB vita memory card. What should I do with my 16GB card? Keep it? I'm not really in the import scene, is it easy to swap cards out when using the same account? If so maybe I will get FF3 PSP tuesday (was anyways) and load every FF game on it, that would be awesome.

Hope to see you aboard soon!

Capcom seems to have a recent attraction toward Nintendo, what with exclusive Resident Evil and Monster Hunter games, among others, but we can't give up hope. Maybe, uh... we'll get another fighter port. :lol

Oh, are people talking about the Vita in that "worst year" thread? lol

I ignored it, assumed it would just lead to fanboy wars. Assumed correctly, I suppose?

Of course they're being facetious. 2.2 million sold in a platform's first 7-9 months is great.

I'm not familiar with your posting history, so I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not :(

Vita's first year so far has been pretty indisputably terrible (at least, commercially), but I was just referring to the content of the thread itself. I still haven't looked at it, but I'm guessing it's just a bunch of people squabbling with each other. Not compelling.

Content-wise, it's gotten plenty of decent support. But it's still a bad year if it dictates that the platform isn't a viable business pursuit.

It's pretty idiotic. The console hasn't even been out for a year yet and has a good selection of solid titles across numerous genres. It also had one of the best launch line-ups I've seen for a console.

It's cancelled. Let it go already.
Never =[

If only a year lasted just 7-9 months...

Bringing up the Vita in that thread is fucking stupid. From a sales standpoint it's been dismal, though even then, it's still far from the WORST. But from a consumers standpoint, it's an amazing piece of hardware with one of the best launch year libraries ever.

How would we even know how much value Sony attributes to the Vita.

Going by TGS it looks like they are fully supporting it given they dedicated most of it for the Vita. Sony isn't Sega and they aren't about to throw away all their investments into the handheld market by prematurely dropping support. This attitude is mostly a result of fear mongering - I honestly believe that. I mean they haven't even had their first price drop yet.

If it's cancelled than so be it. I'd rather know for certain than to wonder where it is. Konami should say something.

I still don't say it's cancelled as well.
If anything it's just not a priority for them.
I'll bet money that it'll be like MGSHD where next year in march they'll "officially" announce it and then release it like in june again.

Except that early adopters bought into the system with the expectation that it would be supported for years and years. One year of decent support is tempered by the knowledge that the platform might not last all that much longer.

That is not the reaction a sane person got out of TGS. And I'm not talking about Sony attributing value to the Vita, but rather Vita producing a return for Sony. Why should they make Vita games for 2.2 million users when they can make PS3 games that will potentially sell to 30 times as many users? And even if they eek out a slight net profit in the Vita business, their efforts would be better spent elsewhere on something more lucrative.

They have already... by not saying anything and only listing PS3/360 on the official site.

You remind me of me back during the early days of the PSP. I was so hyped for the Landstalker remake, and I waited and waited for news of its release. But, it never came, and they never officially announced it was canned.

Even though AC3L is being shot in foot by having a simultaneous release with AC3, and CoD Declassified is getting knifed in the back by being a Nihilistic game, it's going to be very interesting to see how these two fare through the holiday season.

If Vita doesn't pick up significantly then, the conversation will be very different.

Are there any more big releases in Japan this year?

Again, sane people. It's tracking below the Dreamcast.

Lol, see previous post.

TGS announced another MH replacement to calm the fans. That makes SS, GE2 and PSO2. I mean...what else does Japan want? A price drop probably. And as I was saying... sony=/=sega

A *real* Monster Hunter, I think, lol.

But these games will do well in Japan. Hopefully they'll manage to have some legs and give the system some legs of its own.
