The Romney comeback starts tonight. I think people are really underestimating what will happen tonight

Seriously, short of one of the contestants committing (political) suicide on national television, I don't think the debates will affect the election much, they usually only have a effect of a 1% swing in the polls.

For all of you saying Mitt Romney can't come back, I wouldn't start saying that, UNTIL we know he doesn't do well tonight.

Deliberate misquote? I saw the same thing, dude.

"When was the last time you stood up and spoke out for increasing gay rights?"

"Right now."

I didnt exactly quote him thats why I said "or so" but my apologies. Didnt mean to make a fuss but his answer struck me with a weird look because I didnt believe what he said.

the problem is that Romney needs an seismic shift in reality to change the trajectory; even in national polls tighten up a bit, he has 5 point deficits to make up in Ohio and Wisconsin and elsewhere, which alone would put the White House out of reach for him.

Even if Romney were to "win", it would have to a win on an epic scale to change anything. AND there are two more debates, one which is a format that clearly benefits Obama, and the other is foreign policy.

Yes to this.

Seeing it makes me stay calm.

Well, that, and the knowledge that Romney will come-off as a sleazy, desperate used-car salesman-type to most voters; the more they see him, the less they like him. That, and they're going to see him next to Barack "Mr Nice Guy/Grown-Up-in-the-Room" Obama. The comparison will not be generous.
