It's possible, but in most cases they don't spread through the network.

So basically, what I should do is scan the other computers and reset the router? Finally, formatting the drive of the infected PC should delete any malware, correct?

Try to get a Mac for the people who aren't tech savvy. Formatting the HDD and reinstalling the OS is a good way of getting rid of the malware, yes. If you don't detect any issues from the other computers then you don't need to reset the router.
Yeah, a Mac would be suitable. She got this one very recently on the cheap though, so I doubt that she wants to get a new computer.
Anyway, thanks for the help! I was gonna reformat her PC anyway, so this sounds like a good time to do so. My biggest fear is that some other computer on the network has gotten a backdoor or something, making it hard to notice if they're infected.

What would be the problem with humans sticking to an entirely artificial diet? Why can we not just give people a set amount of protein, carbs, nutrients and what have you in their simplest form?
I think the biggest problem is that people don't only eat food for its nutritional content. We also like it because it is tasty.
Food tastes good.
Always worth a laugh when you see old sci-fi views of the future that predict that food would be replaced with pills.

One problem is that you would lose the training of your liver to handle toxic compounds. For instance vegetables are filled with organic molecules that up-regulate your metabolic liver enzymes which really comes in handy when you accidentally consume something dangerous.
From my knowledge it's because they choose to.

If you buy something from a 3rd party vendor on Amazon but it says its fullfilled by Amazon - does that 3rd party get access to your credit card info? I guess the bottom line in my question is, what does the 'fulfilled by Amazon' statement entail?

I doubt anyone cares, but as a general rule it's stupid to leave a digital trail of evidence when committing crimes.

Rain. Rain is such a soothing sound. It helps me fall asleep. Sometimes if I'm stressed, I let my ipod play a 30 minute length natural rainstorm soundclip. Plug in my headphones. I always relax that way.
You could try hot tea, a hot bath, spraying some sort of scent that relaxes you. Try reading as well. Whenever I read something that I really enjoy, I get really sleepy, which sucks because I'm trying to enjoy, but it's nice at the same time because the read is just so relaxing I can't help but get sleepy.
I have a question. I don't know if it's a stupid question, but I've been offered a job next semester of school as an SI coach. I said I would deeply consider it.
Anyone have any experience with this sort of thing? What's it like?

Physical exercise is good way to get your body tired. You should also try to fall asleep in a completely dark room.

And no. Sorry. I should have explained better. Supplemental Instruction. I sort of have to follow a overall plan set out by the instructor and help peers understand the work better by creating extra study sessions. I think that's how it works. Homework questions and pre-test study-work I'm guessing, but I'm not sure. I was hoping someone had some experience.

Yeah, I'm thinking that. However, when I want to be sure a game has a demo I google 'Name of game demo, EU PS Blog' and usually there will be an article saying what was in that week's store update and the demo was there, thus giving me the date to look for in my download list however one isn't in the search results when I type that in.

I'm trying to remember the name of a program I used to use for extracting stuff from swf files. I remember that it was very old but it was still the easiest to use a couple of years ago. Help?
It probably predates the Euro blog.
There's this iPhone app called "Whitenoise" that plays plays soft background noises.
You can choose between pouring rain, thunder storm, train sounds, airplane hum, oscillating fan, etcetera.
It has often helped me sleep when my mind was too busy.
Edit: The rain sounds are not as amazing as the ones found on Rainymood.com though. I would kill for that sound file on my iPhone.

Currently 67 degree in my house with a low tonight of 27. Will we be fine to leave the furnace off? Specifically the pipes, not worried about personal comfort.
Only reason I ask is because we recently discovered a crack in the heat exchanger and we are waiting for repairs before we use it since a carbon monoxide leak is a risk.

-Buy a Macbook Air (got two in a row that were defective and returned them)
or should I keep my current kinda shitty laptop and
-Buy a 3DS XL and pre-order a Wii U (and buy games for both)
or
-Wait for the Nextbox/PS4 next year, and in the mean time just buy 360 games to bide my time
I honestly have no idea what to do....with the latter options, I will also be able to buy a good office chair for my room for a hundred and some dollars (I post and play games laying down most of the time and don't think it's that good). I don't know what to do....and since these are likely completely different things, I figured it was a stupid question.
