Damn, talk about a change! Good luck, Gui.

Good luck, Guister

Damn, good luck Gui! Hope it all works out for you man :)

No! NOOOO! Don't you see? This is exactly what Elzar wants! No! You have to move further from him, not closer! Think of the weird plans he's going to act out which involve you and NeoGaf's most propah postah (bobs99)!

DOOMED! WE'RE ALL DOOMED!

All the best man. I know a few peeps who've moved over there. It could be tough but definitely worth it.

Hope all goes well for you, Gui.

Good luck Gui!

Woohoo! EuroHaloGAF meetup made all the easier.

Congrats on deciding to take action Gui, hoping the best for ye.

I wish you success, Gui. You can make it!

I think they are. It is Xbox 360's game this year. When did Reach's embargo end?

Good luck, Gui!

Yeah, best of luck to you Gui!

Seconded: good luck Gui. I wish you all the success you can squeeze out of that city.

Thanks you everyone, I really appreciate it.

Sorry if I missed a quote, just woke up and had to go through 5 pages and might've missed someone.

From what I've read, you have studied computer science, right? Shouldn't be hard to find a job, because it is something, that keeps growing.

I wish you good luck, sir and I'm impressed, that you move out of your country to try that.

I hope everything turns good for you. :)

Juices, apply for this job.
343 Industries is looking for a dynamic individual with a passion for creating and perfecting online multiplayer experiences. The qualified candidate will be responsible for working with an existing design and sustain team to help maintain and support Halo’s existing multiplayer experiences, as well as the future implementation of new experiences. Additional responsibilities include hopper management and synthesizing community feedback and player data to inform gameplay recommendations. As a member of the Sustainment Team, you will get to interface with community members, designers, Franchise Management and test teams, so legendary communication and organizational skills are a must.

I remember my first interaction with Frank back in early '07 when the Halo 3 F&F Beta was going on. I was lurking HaloGAF at the time and sent him a PM on Bnet that went something like this:

"fuck you bitch for giving gaf early access to the beta why do you give them so much credit and love them more there's more people on the internet than gaf you bitch"

We just followed his directions:

I was playing Reach for the first time in a while last week and was getting constant black screens. It got so bad my friends and I were having bets on how fast we would get black screens in every match. Completely ridiculous, I seriously hope Halo 4 isn't this bad. This is 360's big game and it doesn't even work properly.
Well bad news p2p is back again , yep black screen to .

Unfortunately, we only saw LAN gameplay. Let's hope they did the network tests in countries, which are well known, for their terrible connection.

OR

Let's hope they add search restriction for continent's/countries, which are finally working.

Edit:

The step up from 3 to Reach wasn't exactly a small one.

Exactly. A friend of mine, played ~1 year with an inet USB stick.

He was lagging and teleporting in Halo 3 so hard, that it was unplayable for everyone, when he joined the game, but when he played Reach with us, there wasn't a lag, once. Not even in matchmaking.

---

The problem with Reachs MM is, that it is just unreliable, after 343i took over. Don't know, what caused this, but probably server changes.

Lol i dont think they add countries restrictions, im sure its a copy paste of rech with a small update.

Good Morning, Everybody! Halo 4 is less than a month away.

I love this .gif, Steely

Just noticed my last recorded Bungie.net game of Halo 3 was on Valhalla - would be pretty cool if Ragnarok is my first Halo 4 game.

It probably wont be because I will probably want to venture into FFA or Slayer rather than BTB for my first match, but would be cool.

I really hope the Halo 4 online stats are more like Bungie.net than Waypoint, would be so good.

Btw, I'm going to need someone to invite me to their home and let me play Halo 4

So thanks Bobs

Ill provide the Halo 4, you provide the booze, blackjack and hookers.

Well, you are wrong, then.

They stated it so many times, that the netcode is "butterly smooth" and that there were significant improvemnts.

I will trust them on this, but I wished, they would switch to dedicated servers. Let's see how it turns out.

It'd have been nice from them to tell us the specifics about SpOps netcode improvements... I guess we're begging for too much.

I played the first level of Halo 3 campaign on Heroic the other day and that got me more excited for Halo 4 than anything else has in a while.
Watching the appreciation for Halo 3's campaign grow for me and for the rest of HaloGAF post Reach has been a very fascinating thing to watch.

For Sierra 117, a good deal of the enjoyment I get out of the level is the music. Specifically this part.

I really hadn't planned on playing through any of the previous games, but I'm considering replaying through Combat Evolved, now. I probably should just play Reach so there's no way I can be disappointed in 4's weapon settings. It will be like eating fried butter after a horrible dinner of cardboard.

That's the only thing, that bothers me, besides campaign netcode and you are right. I know we are begging for too much, but 343i could have told us more about the netcode in general.

Halo 3's campaign was the best one for me too. Can't wait till I get there in my playthrough of all the games. I'm especially looking forward to play The storm, Floodgate, the Ark and the Covenant in one session. It really is a shame that Reach didn't have any missions that stood out for me like the Ark and the Covenant did. New Alexandria comes close but I still think it's not as good as the best Halo 3 missions.

My ranking still remains: Halo 3>Halo Reach>Halo 3: ODST=Halo CE>Halo 2.

I dunno, my hype for multiplayer has kind of died down. I don't really have the time to spend a lot of time on it until Christmas break, so I won't be playing much with you guys or my friends.

But I don't know, it's nice to get into campaign and really immerse myself and notice all the small details. I never really made a point to do that for Halo 3 the first or fiftieth time around because it was always in co-op with friends. I'm looking forward to playing Halo 4 solo for the first time around.

Multiplayer hype will come, I guess. The maps look very, very encouraging so far, so that's nice. And it'll be great to get a BR in my hands again.

I'd very much like to hear what improvements 343 has made to the netcode.

That's the kind of thing that Bungie would've put up a very long blog post about. 343 doesn't really do that sort of thing, that I've noticed.

Dedicated servers are too expensive for a multi-million dollar, AAA game. They won't earn no where near enough money to get dedicated servers for H4.

Origin stories?

Found out about GAF during the Halo 3 OT. Blinding wouldn't shut up about it. Kept posting links from GAF on Halogrid/TDS. I started lurking more. Applied once with what was technically a paid email account. Waited for almost a year, nothing. Found my ISP email, applied, got accepted in 2 weeks in the best goddamn junior wave Halogaf has ever seen.

My origin story: someone linked to TVTropes while I was on a Golden Sun forum I frequented so I started checking it out. It eventually led me to the Scribblenauts page which linked to feep's post about time-travel and robo zombies and shit so I started frequenting GAF from there; I didn't actually make an account for a while after though, and it took me like four months to get approved.
