3DS XL First Impressions/Previews

It was pretty common on the OG model, I'm not sure how common it is on the XL.
Either way, I'm just placing a cut-to-shape piece of microfiber cloth in between the screens until I can get a Hori screen protector set.
Some people place bumper feet (like from the bottom of a router) in the top two corners to give it some extra cushioning.

Still have no scratches with my 3DS XL. I close it pretty carefully, keep it in its container/bag/case thing and I LOVE IT STILL. It's such a sexy beast. It only maybe looks 'cheap' because of the bright colors and I don't give a fuck. Guess what, I use them out in public.. Gasp!

As long as you register your 3DS XL before the 15th of Jan, you get a choice between 5 games to download from the eShop.

Yes. After registering your 3DS XL go to Club Nintendo --> My Account --> Click on the arrow to switch banners
Click on the new banner
Choose your game and wait a few days for the code to arrive. Then redeem the code between 1.1. and 30.1.2013

Sorry, may be the wrong place, but is anyone interested in a 3DS xl blue ambassador, I have a normal cosmo black and this one, and don't need both with a new child in the house. Lock/erase this if in the wrong place, but pm me if interested. Sidenote, Professor Layton on the xl is pretty incredible with the depth.

Yes, but you have to go through the eShop. When you find MK7 there will be an option to redownload.

I think, that it will delete it, but you can redownload the game off the eShop after the transfer.

"Have you not or yes or no used this SD card yet or not in this 3DSXL?" Well.. it booted and it setup the folders? I know what it means, it's incase you have used it and THEN want to do a trasnfer, but its a stupidly written question. Also, it took FOREVER to transfer everything across and it's not like GBC games are large files.
Anyway, 3DS XL is rad.

I'd guess sometime in March because of Monster Hunter. I've imported one from HK, it works a treat and is much nice to hold than the regular one.

That's awesome. I threw the MK7 bundle on my Christmas list but I think I'm even more excited if it's a good semi-portable old school console.

Back in 2006 when I bought Ouendan to play on my DS Phat, I bought an Animal Crossing stylus holder and it made playing the game much easier. Now I would like to use it for Theatrhythm, but the stylus from my DS Lite doesn't fit inside it and I don't think the 3DS XL stylus will either.

I just got the XL that came with Mario Kart. I think the console is all fine and dandy but my one major issue is that I just cannot get comfortable. I can't keep my thumb on the buttons and my finger on the trigger. It starts to hurt after a few minutes. It's awful. Maybe my hands are too big or something. Is there anything you guys to to prevent cramping and such? I don't really see this becoming a huge problem, because most of the games I'll get won't need my finger constantly wrapped around the trigger, but it's a real pain whenever I play Mario Kart.

My local Best Buy fulfilled the $160 XL + Mario Kart with a physical copy of MK and a regular blue XL. Thought that was very nice of them.

Must say i'm very impressed with the White XL. Don't normally go for white consoles but it looks fantastic.

So I got my 3DS XL yesterday and I'm interested in getting into the Professor Layton games. Where do I start, and should I just buy the first one or buy all of them now? All the places I checked seemed to have different combinations listed/available, seems like if I wanted them all I'd need to order from about 3 or 4 different places, is there anywhere in the UK that has all the Layton games?
Haha, that'd piss me off if they already got better screens in the XL! Though it's probably better to wait a few years anyway for bigger updates or for some actual wear & tear to justify a new system.

I think it's a defect and you should contact Nintendo to initiate warranty coverage.
