Mmh.. Good thing but I wanted Paper Mario or New Super Mario Bros 2.
I already have SM3DL, someone in my family has Layton, other games doesn't interest me.
I think I may wait if this offer get new games... Or I'll just take Layton.

Might get 3D land if they get that physical to digital save transfer tool up soon. It's ridiculous that 3DS games don't save to the SD card comsidering every 3DS comes with one.

That's a fantastic gift, I just bought a 3DS XL this week and registered it yesterday, so I want to get SM3DL.

Anyway, about this part in the T&C:

2.

Select your game of choice. You can choose one of the 5 titles: New Art Academy, Super Mario 3D Land, New Style Boutique, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, Freakyforms Deluxe.

The download code will be sent to you per email to the email address that you indicated during the registration in Club Nintendo.

So the code will arrive by email and can only be redeemed in January, that's fine. But when and where do we get to choose the games?

Would it be like some sort of universal code that you input it on the eShop and then you get the choice to download one of those 5 games? Or are you supposed to choose the game somwhere in the CN website and then you'll get an specific code for that game?

This is confusing. I've already registered my 3DS XL a couple months ago, so I can't enter the PIN for my 3DS XL again because it's not valid anymore. Where do I pick one of the games? It doesn't give me the option on either the microsite and the Club Nintendo site.

It wasn't there 10 mins ago, but is now. It worked for me (fellow Belgian).

Edit: go to Club Nintendo, then My account and then you have to click on the grey arrow to the right of the banner to "switch banners": the second one is about the offer.

Ooh in fact I may do a gift it to a friend or Christmas GAF for someone prob best in UK area lol, so I know another UK 3DS friend =p.

I would have done with Mario but I got my records there lol.

Took Style Savvi, so I can gift it to my sister. Already have Mario and the other games are not really my thing. :)

There is no banner for me. I logged in to CN, clicked 'My Account' and all I get is my current stars balance next to a broken image. No banner, no grey arrow. Poo :(

Will refresh every two minutes.

Kinda wish I hadn't bought Layton last week now. I suppose I could return it.

I was waiting for the white 3DSXL with Mario Land. Now I guess I buy the white 3DSXL with Mario Kart and get Mario Land free. Or return Layton and get the Mario Land bundle.

Damn NOE and their generosity. Making things more complicated.

Bleh! Club Nintendo was disbanded here six years ago because of the new casual audience. Yes, that's the official stated reason.

The stars balance is placed on a banner too, so you have to click on the right-side arrow to move onto the next banner.

I'm a bit bummed out that I can't change the language to English on my spanish digital copy of Layton (nor can I redownload after changing region), because that's how I played the others. I'm thinking... perhaps if I can trick the system logging in from the Nintendo UK site and get an UK code for Layton?

I kind of know what you mean, which is why I opted for Art Academy over Layton. It's more of an "app" than a game which seems like a more appropriate addition to my homescreen.
