Xbox Live Countdown to 2013 sale [begins Dec 18th]

Mark of the Ninja is my favorite of the 3.

yep, mark of the ninja is the one to get if you can only get one from the list. if you can stretch to two, I highly recommend dust as well. super meat boy is good too, but I feel dust and mark of the ninja are better, more content packed games.

I think they're all such different games of such outstanding quality that it's really difficult to choose between them on behalf of someone else. I think the best thing to do is play the trials of all three and see which one captures your mood the best.

It deserved to, tbh, it's a pretty awful game.

I'm at the 5th campaign and I would say that I definitely find it less inventive and substantial than the original, although I'm not sure as negative on it as you are. It's definitely easier as well. I 100%'d the first game, but it took far more retries than this one so far.

Mark and the Ninja and Fez for me. I can find Rayman Origins cheaper at other venues most likely.

Will probably pick up all of the Skyrim DLC too.

Lego Star Wars: The complete Saga is listed for 20$/€, not 10...
Have no idea if it's just not discounted yet or if it's the correct price.

As a first time Joe Danger player, is #2 a good starting point? I'm interested in the game, and I'm thinking about snagging it if I have some left over MS points.

HOw about Dust? What did you think of it?

Two days in and it's underwhelming so far. At least I had fun looking like an idiot in front of my wife with Kinect Party.

Tomorrow though:

20th: Platformer Games

Fez
HELL YEAH! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit
Sonic Adventure 2
Rayman Origins [GoD]
Rayman 3 HD
Mark of the Ninja
Trine 2

bought sonic 4: episode 2 & firepro wrestling so far, pretty much just because. will grab rayman origins again after selling my copy if it goes less than £10. i'll definitely grab the walking dead episodes too.

edit: oh fuck, mark of the ninja too then, i guess.

The motorcycle racing games are kind of a whole genre these days, there are a bunch of them on iOS (a bunch means like 100 different ones there)

If you like games where you race up and down hills and do flips while avoiding objects etc, all of those games are up your alley, but the unique thing about Joe Danger is that it is a little more light hearted than the extreeeeeeme Trials HD which my wife won't even let me play when my son is around (I kind of understand), it also has an emphasis on "tricks" like standing on the bike or hovering over a gust of air, maybe a little slower paced at points and focused on navigating a stunt / obstacle

Joe Danger 2 doesn't have that new feeling and I feel like they are stretching the formula so far that it's probably worse than the original, but I still think $5 is more than fair. The sequel does look a lot better visually. There's so much going on from level to level.

I was going to buy LEGO Star Wars: TCS but the price at checkout was different. It shows $15 on the ad page and $15 on the game page, but hitting checkout changed to $25 - even in MS points. The other games I checked were correct, but that's going to catch some people.

Any idea on the price?

If they get to 600msp I may bite on 2 of those.

Probably a stupid question but do the sales last only the day they're issued or do they last from the day they're issued to the end of the whole sale?

Does that make sense?

It has already been reduced,

Rayman Origins - 800msp/10$ (was 1600/20$) US price, check your region

The Price's listed in the OP are for the US. Presume you are in Canada since the price is 25$ there.

One day (24 hour sale).

Barely played any new games this and I've especially been slacking on downloadables. I really wanna pick up Mark of the Ninja and Trials Evolution though. Hopefully the prices are low enough that I can get them both. Don't have much of a budget for the next couple weeks.

Get Rayman, which is a great game, unlike Bully's mediocrity.

inb4y2kev bans me.

But it's a good game for someone who's never played Joe Danger before, right? From the vids I've watched, JD2 looks like a more lighthearted Trails game, and not as difficult. The Trials game are a bit too hardcore for me (too much time investment).

That's about the right price for Origins.

This game doesn't have online co-op, right?

I actually think, if you could get both for the same price, you'd be better off starting with JD1. It has a nice ramp-up in terms of new concepts and a gradual difficulty level. JD2 is sort of a kitchen sink kind of sequel.

Hm, I just logged in with my US profile (I'm from EU) and bought Rayman Origins for ten bucks. Was expecting an IP check but no, it went through. Cool.
