That writing is like a parody of itself.
I'm sure it's Toriyama and Watanabe doing the script again.

It's the end of the generation and SE still can't deliver consistent frame rate on its in-house engine. Money well spent.
I am glad this is the last entry to probably the worst final fantasy game. Hopefully Square enix can move on now and make final fantasy enjoyable again.

Graphically, it looks like... FFVIII!!!Looks like Final Fantasy...

FF will continue to be on a downward spiral as long as Toriyama is there.
Maybe they downgraded the graphic and texture so it doesn't slow down on performance like FF 13-2 did.
It's not like it's coming out tomorrow, omg.

His work on FF12 was fantastic.
I just hope he doesn't ignore Fang again.
The only character he does in the entire set that I actually like and he acts as if she doesn't exist damn it.
I guess it could be worse though, he could bow to the people who want Hope and Lighting to get it on.
From this trailer we can derive several depressing points.
1) Square no longer has the means or prestige to procure industry-leading designers, programmers and engineers.
2) Square no longer has enthusiasm or drive.
3) Lightning, cool as she is, can't carry a game.
4) Square has had enough of this cruel world, and just wants it all to end.
Square Enix is apparently inspired by Bioware's success and set their sights on making their own Dragon Age 2.

It's too bad that the final retail product had framerate dips as well. If this game is intended to be more actiony or at least allows that player to have a more hands-on experience with attacking (and going by that HUD it certainly does not look like that at all), then a stable framerate is essential.Seriously. XIII-2 trailers looked laggy/low framerate too, and instead the game looked beautiful. Just wait.

Don't get your hopes up, man.
Still the same shitty battle system. Its the worst battle system in Final Fantasy history.
Of course they have, they are just all working on A Realm Reborn.

Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII looked graphically better, and gave the same gameplay feeling that this trailer gives when it comes to "exploring" bland towns.

There were still some framerate drops during battle. Not necessarily noticeable since it doesn't always impact play. But in this circumstance? When you have to roam on your own? Yeah, that might be a problem. The final game mainly had framerate drops in Academia, since its a huge city. The trailers showed it during the battles, which you don't see in the final product at all.
This really looks like Assassin's Creed. Her cape. The colours employed...

Requiem of the Goddess might be able to answer that question.Gameplay looks fun. I'm curious to see how XIII's battle system works when you only have 1 character.
