Modest breasts are the best! To be fair... a show like this doesn't need any fan service, but the little shots here of Noriko's nice body are unobtrusive and help me fall in love with her more. :3

God I love heroines so much >< fuck helpless girls! Independent woman for the win!! :D So sexy.

I agree with you so much.
Who needs a extra large boobs babe in a cat outfit? More than one night, I mean.

Spoilers for episode six of Gunbuster do not read Chet:
Noriko ripping her shirt off is a classic scene. I can't fathom the climax without it. It's one of the most hot-blooded moments in anime ever.

You guys are bros ;_;. Sometimes, it feels like it's only either DFC or big breasts in breasts discussions.

Don't get me wrong I have my preferences! But I don't like to pick sides either, because I feel like if you do that you miss out on the benefits from other choices. Like in the condiments debate. Fuck picking a condiment, live life passionately and enjoy THEM ALL!! :D That is the true way to win.

The whole episode is glorious beyond belief. I don't wanna hype it up, because I went in with no expectations. There isn't any action climax or anything -- it's just that perfect mix of tone, pacing, presentation and emotions. I've watched it several times now and damn near tear up every time.

It hit me so hard in the feels. I didn't plan on getting all worked up and it just happened so naturally.

The Light of El Cantare
Minor bit of news for anyone interested in Dokidoki Precure:

Unless I'm reading something incorrectly, it's now confirmed that Takanashi Yasuharu will not be composing for Dokidoki. The new composer appears to be Takaki Hiroshi, who does not have a particularly large resume of anime compositions but he may be best known to people here as the composer of the fucking badass Tytania OP.

It's difficult to find samples of his work on youtube, but I managed to find these:

a track from the DBZ: Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans OVA

Fan Hyulik's theme from Tytania

Some assorted tracks from Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu - 1 2 3 4

I've watched a few clips from Kaidan Restaurant to see if he puts the same effort into kids' stuff that he's apparently capable of in other things that he's worked on, and, well, it's a mixed bag. Heavy on synth, some of the stuff is kind of simplistic. Still miles better than Takanashi's barf, though, so I'm going to be optimistic for now. If nothing else, we'll probably get the best transformation theme in several seasons!

The Light of El Cantare
which Dragonball Z movies are worth watching?
i dnt feel like the marathon is quite over

All of them have cookie-cutter plots for the most part, so I'd recommend movies 5, 7, and the Broly ones for having superior animation.

Well, that ending page makes much more sense now. That whole last chapter is something else. lol

(I still think the Welcome to the NHK anime version of this story is more biting though!)

Yep, gotta thank this show for reminding me just how much of a shit Kassim is and how stupid it was of Alibaba not to
see things through to the end. He should've done what was right.

You wound me.
Okay maybe just his fight and henshin songs are genuinely good, but still!

If you ever want to get an idea for what a terrible composer he is, watch some Oda Nobuna no Yabou if you haven't already. His hammy synthfest junk manages to be serviceable in Precure, but it's glaringly terrible elsewhere. Dude has no range whatsoever.

I'll give him that his transformation themes are always solid. But man, what I wouldn't give to hear a version of Let's Play, Precure Modulation from Suite performed with actual instruments and vocals. Half of his problem is that he performs his music on a freaking Casio keyboard or some shit.

It sounds like he's the Motoi Sakuraba of the anime industry. :( I can't help but love him, Golden Sun was like my first serious RPG.

Get Nishikori Ken to sing the OP yo.

Hiroshi is credited for Kyousogiga as well, and that has some very nice tracks.

Ah, back to the show at last after episode 8. It was depressing to realize that the show would indeed cover the manga faithfully at that point, but I guess I'm over it now.

Most of episode fourteen is a looping infodump/circlejerk featuring the same kind of mundane in-show speculation that ruined the show earlier. It's all just tired expository cataloging of guesses and misinformation that ends up going nowhere.

It's just a lousy episode - even the new opening sucks.

It must be scientifically impossible to condense more fan service into one 20 something minute episode. A nearly constant stream of fan service. That doesn't really leave room for much else. It's got some decent gags but it's already returned to the sushi roll bit I don't know how many times. I get it, BLOWJOBS, ORAL SEX, FELLATIO! I'm starting to struggle to keep my interest in the show. If it can't bring something to the table that isn't more fan service I'll probably drop it.

Wow, that has to be one of my favorite episodes so far. The OP they did for the flashback scenes was oddly sudden which made it weird initially, but otherwise this was a really interesting episode both in visuals and narrative. Definitely a strong way to close the arc. I'm not sure whats going on with
that kid in Saki's nightmare, not really sure who that could be. I was thinking it was her sister initially, but I believe Saki mentions it was a boy so I dunno where they are going with that aspect. The strange looking monsters made that whole scene very engaging though.

I don't know. I'm probably expecting too much for the show it is. Some better comedy might be good.

And yes, it's Rin. Just played her route recently. Much better than all the others I've played so far. Really elevated KS for me.

The Light of El Cantare
Sailor Moon SuperS 147:

Men refusing to dance with Makoto because she's tall? The sad shitty truth is that this is probably how it would play out IRL too. Worthless pigs.
I could kind of get behind Makoto x Ami, though. The two dude-repellant girls in the group turning to each other... :sdburton

Sailor Moon SuperS 148:

I am suddenly reminded by the really marginal "development" this episode that this is almost certainly the most plot-light season so far. We've spun our wheels for twenty episodes, I'm ready for something to change.

I remember Hito saying some scary things about Nehellenia. I guess the Dead Moon Circus does connect to the Crystal Millennium somehow after all

Sailor Moon SuperS 149:

There's the development I was looking for. OH SHIT OH SHIT ;______;

Sailor Moon SuperS 150:

Man, the Dead Moon Circus stuff in this episode was so incredibly Ikuhara. Can you imagine an entire series with creepy, monstrous imagery like that? Too good for our reality.

I've also taken an immediate liking to the
Amazoness Quartet. The contrast between the childlike appearance and their jerkass smugness and cynicism is pretty cool.

But it probably helps that I really, really like Arabian dancer costumes. Thank you, character designers.

That MotW was the stuff of nightmares. And oh shit, it's Nehellenia!
Interest rejuvenated!
