hey, sharing a virtual pokemon which might be on psn anyway vs. selling a full-fledged, limited merchandise are two different things. xD

i'm not too crazy about griffy. most likely i'll have a different team anyway by the end of the game, just like pokemon.

I suppose "boxed shipment" would mean that the orders have been prepared for shipping, and are awaiting the courrier to come pick them up.

The gentleman had very little new information but created a special request for me which he said is the escalation of this pre order CXL issue...

Nice but, still nothing new.

Classy. I spent enough of my life on the phone with them to realize how worthless they are. But I still had my case "escalated" multiple times just for giggles., I guess I could have taken a flight to the store if I wasn't such a quitter!

If I thought like you I wouldn't be getting a copy, I'd have let them cancel my order months ago.

Got my order from September 3rd cancelled as well. I called Digital River and they knew exactly why I was calling when I mentioned Ni No Kuni. They must be fielding a ton of calls today about the messed up payment cancellations. Anyways the CSR was nice and escalated my request, blah blah blah and now it's a waiting game to see if it will ship. I mean they should have an earmarked copy since I made a preorder a while ago. I really hope this gets resolved.

Finally got a update from my Amazon guide order it's now shipping soon which usually means its going today. Which is probably on schedule when they said delivery probably Friday. Hopefully they upgrade me to one day since it was release day delivery originally. Still nothing from NB on the WE. Hope the rumor from the "friend" is true saying they are shipping today. Though seems like BS that the orders from last year still haven't billed and changed status.

Perhaps you missed the part where I found out about my credit card problem on Thursday. I didn't have the luxury of talking to that worthless help desk weeks in advance.

Just to share my experience: My guide was "Shipping Soon" today as well, I recently received the email that not only is it shipping today, but I'll have it tomorrow! Hope yours comes just as quickly.

For anyone curious about the guide, my dude at Gamestop showed it to me this morning when I picked up my copy of the game. It looked absolutely gorgeous. Reminded me of the amazing Dark Souls guide that everyone raves about.

There's a reason why Digital River has a bad reputation and this is one of them. They deserve everything they get. ..even if the CSRs are very friendly as they read from their script.

As someone who has worked in a call center and had to stick to certain "script" you need to chill. The people answering the phones are making a living if they have to read a script I'm sure they don't enjoy pissing you off or anyone else. They work for a company who doesn't have great system. If you have worked in these conditions before you would understand, take it easy take a deep breath you'll get your game.

I have worked on a help desk. And I was exceedingly polite in every one of my calls because I'm well aware of these points. The problem is that the strict script adherence extends to supervisors as well.

And DR's system isn't "not great", it's "awful."

I'm not sure how you think I'll get a copy of the game when the card on record is invalid but it sure would be nice!

Yes it is let's move past it I'm sure things will update later tonight or first thing in the morning like the charges did last night. Hopefully the ones of us with one day will have a nice surprise and it will be showing out for delivery and the 2nd day guys will be getting it Thursday. Lets hope.

I haven't gotten an email yet today signifying cancellation or shipment of my copy, but it does show 'boxed shipment' on the Namco order history screen when I check it. Weird.

I ordered mine during the original preorders. I was charged sometime today so Im excited. Picked up another copy though to start playing now.

I'm in the same boat and I did place my order pretty late (12:30 PT). And yes my card has been charged.

The Dark Souls Guide was awful. The maps and walkthroughs referenced items and monsters that were in the back in appendices, yet didn't refer to the page numbers; so you had to constantly flip through pages.

Yeah. No updates here either.
Namco & FindMyOrder both still show 'boxed shipment,' which they started showing sometime between late last night and early this morning.

This was for a PPal order placed back in very early August. No shipment OR cancelation email yet; so I'll continue with my quiet patience and hope to receive a shipment confirmation by tomorrow morning.

Amazon did deliver my guide a few hours ago.

DR has me pretty pissed about this whole situation. Not a single damn update regarding my order.

I picked up my regular edition about 10 minutes ago, I'm tempted to just open it and sell my WE when it comes in, that would give me the game and guide for free after selling it. I'm starting to think that I'll probably use the book once and never use it again after that, and I don't really care about any of the other stuff in it.

Or I could just open the regular edition, play it and then sell it for 50 dollars once I get my WE.

Because the DS catridge may not be enough to hold the book digitally and they said the book is the main reaosn they did not bring it overseas

But sure, if possible they could make it for DS indeed, no problem there (unless they have cool 3D effect on 3DS :) )

The other obstacle is the book which I am sure sealed the deal when it came to this coming out here. Imagine that on the shelf.... the Japanese DS normal edition is about as big as a baby, lol.

Digital River is used by quite a lot of companies for their online shopping experiences. Not sure why though since they seem to not know how to do anything well.

Does it have new artwork in it ?

That is the only reason i would buy a guide for a RPG :)
