What are you usually doing that makes it reset? I've noticed that my tablet is far far far more stable after going custom rom that's based on the most recent AOSP code - maybe there are many crash bugs that are fixed that haven't been pushed to official OTA update yet...
Usually just on chrome

Yea chrome crashed a lot. It's many versions behind the desktop. I still don't understand why Google decided to make it the default when it's not ready. I'd suggest using other browsers like Dolphin imo. Otoh, AOSP Android browser is rock solid...

hmm dunno if wether to get this or a Samsung ATIV Smart PC 500T (Tablet Only) for 600$

since forking over an extra 200$ from the base 400$ N10 gets you Windows 8 Pro and a laptop replacement...

Depends on how important battery life is to you I guess. For my usage, a tablet can't ever replace a full power 13" laptop. With Win8 pro. it's basically a slower laptop with about the same battery life. The only advantage is touch screen, very slight smaller physical dimensions and weight.

But is chrome crashing and the tablet crashing the same thing? The tablet restarts itself when it crashes.

They can be related, mine sure crashed less when I wasn't using chrome at all. But don't expect your tablet not crashing at all. Like I said, mine wasn't totally stable until I went to AOSP rom. Now I see my tablet crash like once in the last two weeks.

Got a Fintie case finally. It's 10 bucks on ebay and about 15 on Amazon. I'd prefer tri folding cover but every other cover I found has some flaw. This one works well enough for a cheap case -- you have a few color options, doesn't cover up speakers, has auto wake/sleep function.

Got an update on my sister's N10, anyone else did? Maybe it's more stable for people still on official rom since the version number now matches with my AOSP.

YAY! There's now a plugin/app for Firefox that lets it Save Links to download files on my Nexus 10.
For some reason stock Firefox didn't have the Save Link option when I would hold down on a link for a podcast or other files.

Been thinking of buying a tablet for the last few days, and I'm mostly settled on the Nexus 10 so far.

However, I mostly want this for use on the bus (on which I spend ~1.5 hours a day), so is there a 3G/cellular version planned?

Will this tablet ever come back into stock? Whenever I actually have money, I check it out, but there's never any available to order, so the money gets spent on something else.

Haha I didn't even realize that back was removable! Serves me right for not reading the instructions.

The 16GB was in stock for a week at the beginning of January.

There are tons of apps to do it, but is there a website where you can sign up to get email stock alerts when they're in stock? I don't really want to have an app running in the background on my phone all the time (battery life sucks enough as it is) so email alerts would be great.

I saw that my local Walmart had a few of the 32GBs in stock today. Looked like 4-5 of them. Maybe it's time to check stock at your local Walmart stores to see if they have them too.

Seems to be exclusive to Google over here in the UK.

Really enjoying the tablet, Pretty much have found the same apps or suitable replacements for my apps and games from the iPad2. Chrome is jacked up, first day I had several crashes.Once I disabled it and installed the beta everything was peachy.

I remember someone mentioning a emulator coming to android that covers several systems and its free. Anyone remember?

24 hours after getting the tablet and I am already thinking of returning it.

It turns out that 40MHz support for 802.11N (in 2.4GHz band) is fucked up. The tablet doesn't work, or just gets random disconnects with any network with the 40MHz option enabled.

And most, if not all, new WiFi routers come with that option enabled...

Edit: Well, it seems it only happens when WPA or WPA2 are using AES. As AES is a requirement in most routers to get some of the high speed modes of 802.11N.

anyone know why the HDMI out doesn't turn off the image on the Nexus 10 when its connected? Seems like a waste of battery even though i can easily have it connected to the power.

Retroarch.

RetroArch Plays the following kind of games:
- PlayStation 1 (emulator: PCSX ReARMed)
- Super Nintendo (emulator: SNES9x Next)
- Nintendo Entertainment System (emulator: FCEUmm / NEStopia)
- GameBoy / GameBoy Color (emulator: Gambatte)
- GameBoy Advance (emulator: VBA Next)
- Arcade (emulator: Final Burn Alpha)
- Neo Geo Pocket Color (emulator: Mednafen NGP)
- Virtual Boy (emulator: Mednafen VB)
- Sega Genesis/Mega Drive (emulator: Genesis Plus GX)
- Sega Master System/Sega Game Gear (emulator: Genesis Plus GX)
- Sega CD / Mega CD (emulator: Genesis Plus GX)
- PC Engine / PC Engine CD (emulator: Mednafen PCE Fast)
- WonderSwan Color / Crystal (emulator: Mednafen Wonderswan)
- Cave Story (game engine: NX Engine)
- Doom 1 / Doom 2 / Ultimate Doom / Final Doom (game engine: prBoom)

SPECIAL FEATURES:
- Plug and play detection of many USB / Bluetooth gamepads
- Real-time rewinding in games
- Very advanced pixel/vertex shader support (will push your GPU to the limit)
- Totally customizable touchscreen overlays
- Expandable with new cores, and the ability to make your own cores and use them with RetroArch
- Totally free - no ads, no 'collecting stats', no push ads, no BS

Brought to you with love from the emu scene. We strongly believe emus should remain free - even on app stores. That's why we're here.

It seems to work great. I've tried Genesis, SNES, Doom 2 and Cave Story and they all run fine. Using it with my sixaxis controller.

Thanks. I will try it this weekend. But I'm not really optimistic, Nexus WiFi drivers are binaries, so they will be the same.

r3:
* Merge new ROW IO scheduler patches
* Merge new Wi-Fi driver from Google
* Merge a few fixes from Google (video memory allocator, cgroups subsystem)
* Some adjustments to the Interactive tunables to make the system more responsive and possibly improve video playback smoothness & gaming

Ordered a 16GB and it should be here in a few days :)

Has anyone here got that pogo cord for 'slightly quicker' charging? Is it worth it?

Also, what's the best guide for rooting the Nexus 10 on a Mac?

Ugh, so while on vacation my Nexus 10 got into a boot-loop where it would ask for the encryption password, start to boot, then reset and ask for the password again. I had to do a factory reset from recovery mode. Apparently from some forum posts I found the Nexus 10 is prone to having this happen when using device encryption.

Thankfully having it synced with my Google account it re-downloaded my installed apps and I just had to add my work account and set up my widgets again. I had to manually install the Amazon App Store and Humble Bundle app and games as well. Not as painful as it could have been, all things considered.

16gb is in stock.

Anyone witht he 16 GB version find storage space becoming an Issue?

Not really. You could download app to use USB OTG or use custom rom. I use it when I'm traveling and need to access a lot of media that even a 32G won't be able to hold...

I have a 16GB and never any issues with storage. But then again, I don't keep anything on there except a few apps and some movies I download from Giant Bomb.

Thanks then :)

I will check it today as soon as I get home.

----- Update -----

I can say the new drivers fix (for me) some of the problems when connecting to 40MHz Access Points (one of them is working better, the other still does not connect).

But still, it's difficult to watch Youtube videos without the video stopping a couple of times. it doesnt happen with my phone, laptop or desktop pc.

I already called google to ask for a replacement. Hope the next one works well. I would hate to go for an Ipad :(

Is light bleed covered under the warranty? Cause it just started on mine.

Also anyone else using MX player pro? Mine just started crashing when I attempt to play a video.

My battery life sucks compared to my iPad. It's like 4.5 hours of on screen time. That's so weak :/

I'm going to put CM on this instead of Paranoid.

Any suggestions on customization of the lockscreen? I don't really get those square panels on the left. Are they giant widget spaces?
