I can, easily.

The new Nvidia driver 314.07 improved my performance.

And it seems my GTX670 is not magical :
http://physxinfo.com/news/9653/borderlands-2-physx-benchmark-roundup/

Even a GTX580 can run the game at 60fps with Physx high, I was already very close to that with my GTX570.

Same goes for Batman AA/AC and Alice Madness Returns. Haven't tried Hawken yet.

:( My 680 runs Borderlands 2 w/ PhysX like complete and utter trash. I get frequent dips to the 30's and 40's with low GPU utilization but high CPU utilization, like the game isn't using GPU for PhysX at all even when forced to. Both Batman games run great however
(Except for the Penguin fight with the Mr. Freeze gun, I drop to the 50's when there are a bunch of ice particles being rendered)

Are you sure you forced Physx on your GPU in the control panel ?

I guess... still +100% performance drops for the effects is quite a lot.
I don't give a fuck as long as the framerate is still higher than 30. I hate when games drop below that and it never happened to me in 68 hours of Borderlands 2.

It could be worse. :)

somethings wrong then, as I get consistently high FPS with physics on high. Make sure you've got the latest physic software installed and have it set to GPU in the nvidia control pannel.

Yes. I have tried dozens of times setting it to auto select, to forced 680 usage, to forced CPU usage. My performance is virtually the same on all three modes, low GPU utilization with high CPU utilization. The Gearbox forums have researched and came to the conclusion that for some systems BL2 just doesn't use the GPU for PhysX for some unknown reason.

PhysX works fine for both Batman games, so I know I have PhysX properly configured.

Ok, I also don't have any problem playing at 30 fps usually, but with borderlands i feel the need for 60 fps... so i was playing with physx off, i guess i could at least use medium settings.

I'm playing Borderlands 2 on an (overclocked) 660ti, 2560x1440, everything maxed and physx at medium, and I never drop below 55 FPS (mostly way above 60). I like the various pieces of cloth you can shoot/jump through.

Wait, what was this thread about again?

Since this is a DX11 feature, I don't think it will. But no doubt a PS4 equivalent will be achievable with the same type of results anyway. But Durango will be a DirectX machine, so these effects should be cross compatible.

DX11 mean mostly GPGPU features that use shaders 5.0, tessellation and atomics. Rewritting it to libgcm [which should also has some form of native import function from dx11] shouldnt be a problem.

I just hope Nvidia can run this on Day 1. I mean, it's already been clarified this is a DirectX 11 feature. So I assume that means it will just be available in the menu when you check DirectX 11 on?

EDIT: I guess we won't know that until..the game releases. But lol, I hope so!

I've always been an Nvidia purist but the fact that AMD has made this tech available for all platforms means I'll only be buying ATi cards from hereon. Thank you AMD!

PC version should look good.

Nixxes Q&A about the Port

I hope we get engine-level SMAA support. SMAA's anti-aliaising is virtually perfect as far as my eyes are concerned (next to no jaggies and no discernible loss of texture clarity), but more often than not I can't stomach the battering HUD elements take when it's run as an external post-process.

It almost looks like she feels bad for console gamers

I bet the camera only shoots in 720p. :p

Seems like the tech will also be available on Nvidia cards....i think.

We are working on features that are specific to the PC platform, but if they are DX11 features they will also work on Nvidia DX11 hardware.
