I bought The Darkness. I will probably get Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution as well.

I hope they will have a sale on Crysis and Trials Evolution soon.

Wow, I'm shocked Microsoft actually has a sale I'm interested in. I just picked up El Shaddai - a game I always wanted to try but never wanted to pay full price for.

that's a ludicrous exaggeration.

no its not.

I usually agree with you, but if he's talking about the MS Store BF sale (and compared to other physical product sales), it's not really. Just about every game they had was $10 new (with free shipping, I believe). I personally bought about 15 of them. I'm not aware of a better sale on physical products.

correct, not only were they new retail copies, but a lot of the games had only recently come out and were still selling for 40-60 dollars before and after the sale.

that shit was mad.

Don't believe it's Canadian but how about this one? I never used it personally and stock seems low too.

thats the one. thought it was Canadian for some reason. thanks for the link.

Batman Arkham city
Borderlands 2
Dishonored
Metal Gear Solid HD
Portal 2

depending on prices, i'll bite on some of these...

odd, though. El Shaddai says 2.99 or 480 MS points ($6) weird...

I believe El Shaddai is one of games on demand titles that you can download outside of USA.

If your shit local Live store (

)don´t have the game, create an USA account and use PayPal.

I was able to buy El Shaddai and I honestly don't know what the fuck I just bought. I remember a video of a game where a guy was fighting on a flying golden thing above New York. Was that a different game? Don't tell me this is a Japanese RPG or action game because I don't like those.

How is El Shaddai, gameplay wise? I know it's a beautiful game, but how does it play? I'm sure it's worth the dollar amount in this sell, but I need to know if it's worth the time investment (of tearing myself away from Fire Emblem).

Gonna buy El Shaddai and Bioshock once my new 360 comes today...pos 360 died Sat. Anyways, I can't wait for the rest of those sales this week, that list is pretty much a copy and paste from my amazon wish list :D

To people who don't live in one of those 26 XBL supported countries and can't be arsed to deal with VPN: you can forget about Halo Wars, Dirt 2, Call of Juarez, The Darkness and probably some others I haven't tried.

Man does it piss me off when someone doesn't want to take my money.

MSP is messed up right now but Major Nelson said they are fixing it right now.

ah, thanks.

what're people's opinions on the assassin's creed games? any definitive "best" game?

thinking of grabbing "brotherhood" when the sale drops.

Can't go wrong with Brotherhood.
AC2 is good as well.

EDIT: The Resident Evil 4 port isn't bad at all. Though I regret picking it up after playing through the PC version of RE5. This is mainly because RE5 PC looks phenomenal, and RE4 looks like a fat guy's butt in comparison.

You have 3 types of weapons and use attack/defend/break combos. Some weapons works better against some enemies. The combat is repetitive but the levels are fucking crazy. And each boss battle is very unique.

And I liked the story. Is like a japanese version of Jesus Christ Super Star.

you speak so well
I never played the series but I plan on getting into it. Do I just buy all the games in order of release and thats it or are some of them not really related?

Some might say to skip AC1 because AC2 is a pretty big improvement over it and AC1 can be a bit hard to get into for some but it's up to you. But generally, yes, you just play them all in the order of release (AC1, AC2, Brotherhood, Revelations, 3).
