Got my resistence call... I heard someone else say GS was giving calls out to people they dont think will get their ps3... Sounds like bullplop, but anyone with a preorder number of 10 or above hear anything?

Download something like NetTransport - it takes a link to a streaming video and downloads the entire video, so you can watch it once it's been fully downloaded on your system, rather than while it's streaming. That'll solve the problem you're having.

O-o WHOA did anyone see that robot chicken PS3 commercial? That was funny as hell. The two aliens try to take a kids ps3 and he beats thier asses with a bat. Even funnuer is the aliens say 'there must be an easier way to get a ps3!' nope, stealing it from a child is going to be the only way to get one.

Okami is overrated. trust me on this one. If you look past the cool graphics the game is pretty dull with a half assed battle system. don't say i didnt warn you.

Okami is probably the best PS2 game I've played this year, although Final Fantasy is giving it a run for its money.

Besides, the guy above me was a terrorist on 24. Why trust him?

The danish newspapers are all running frontpage stories about how ps3's backwards compability is 'broken'. Some examples: "ps3 can't play all your old games - thus came the news all parents and kids feared" and "old games wont work on ps3 - sony admits that the new playstation isn't backwards compatible with older games". It's the same in the countries 5 biggest newspapers.

The previous layout looked way better imo, it was much more simple and professional looking. Now, I dont even know what I'm doing anymore, theres like 3 different links that go to the same page. :/

I used to make websites so please dont pay any attention to my nitpicking the hell out of this one. :lol Its a website and it does it's job I guess.

edit:

looks like lemmings, flOw, and sodoku are not coming until december. Still no prices shown yet.

In the Friends and Messaging section it mentions that you can talk with your friends during game play.

EDIT: And playable PS3 demos are now officially confirmed free. :)

I think it lots 500% better than it use to. I like it. But it really is 56K NO!

I found this statement on the AVS forums to be very nice and foretelling.

I now know what my BluRay player purchase will be. A gamers box. I have never played computer or TV games and most likely will not with this box either. For the money it would be silly to buy a Standalone BD Box. Good for Sony making this unit an even better movie player than the current crop of standalones. And I am sure the grandkids would be happy if I got a game or two.

I have the XA-1 already so my upconversion needs are there.

Great News for Blu Ray, and High Def movies in the home by any means.

They're jumping on it solely because Sony admitted there was a problem with some games. Sony should have said it was only a tiny fraction of games that are affected, as appears to be the case. I think I've heard there are issues of one sort or another with about 200 games - but that's out of ~8000 listed on Sony's BC status website - if not the entire back catalogue. 200 out of 8000 would be less than 3% of the titles there (and the issues in many cases seem to be quite minor). A lot of reporters seem to be missing that, considering 200 to be a lot (which it might be in absolute terms, but relatively..).

Who cares what the rest of the frame rate is as long as it's smooth during play?

Umm, I dunno which 360 Madden he was playing but mine sure stutters between plays. Not to mention the menu transitions stutter quite a bit. Sounds to me like the PS3 version is identical to the 360, save for a few graphical touches and tacked on sixaxis moves.

I bought the 360 version last year and the thing stuttered like a BITCH.
