The Devil Survivor 2 theme has been on my mind since reading this. I love it:

The instrumental version is awesome.
Devil Survivor 2 had a pretty good soundtrack in general. Definitely above the first one though I like both a lot.
If only.I'll buy it if they fix the art so that the females' bodies actually make anatomical sense.
I hope they even bother to bring it out to NA, considering Overclocked's sales.
Oh you.I hope it has 3D demons. Then we can get the final bit of SMT4 outrage out of the way already.
So is it bad that I:
1. Bought Devil Survivor and never played it
2. Bought Overclocked and eventually played it for 6-7 hours before it getting lost in the shuffle
3. Bought Devil Survivor 2 and never played it
4. Will buy this game
70 hours and not beaten it? How long are these games?Though I never bought the original Devil Survivor, I'm exactly the same.
I played 70 hours or so into DS:O but haven't beaten it, and like 20 in DS2. I'll buy this game day 1 for sure despite that! I'm part of the problem. :lol

... the anniversary for the U.S. release was a few days ago.I'm kind of baffled this many people haven't played the DS version. It's only been out for like, two-three years?

I bought it at release, but figured an enhanced version would happen so I held off. Also having just played Overclocked before 2's release, I wasn't feeling compelled to go back to DS visuals/audio/etc.Well, you had a whole year?

Fair enough, but the visuals probably won't be the slightest bit different, and much like DS vanilla, the original is still a phenomenal game.
Probably because Overclocked made it pretty clear that an Overclocked 2 would probably happen.
People at the event said the stuff shown in the video was 3D, which has led to speculation that it is indeed a full remake and not just a port.
I'll be pretty shocked if that happens, and it's not just the whole game with 3D overlays(unlike DSO which just had a 3D OP).

Very unlikely. Overclocked's visuals were better and this will likely have a higher budget. The font was an improvement too.Fair enough, but the visuals probably won't be the slightest bit different, and much like DS vanilla, the original is still a phenomenal game.
Wait, what? Missed that detail.People at the event said the stuff shown in the video was 3D, which has led to speculation that it is indeed a full remake and not just a port.
Keep the Devil Survivor girls the way they are
The original Devil Survivor on the ds didnt click with me. Stopped around day 2 or 3.
Now with my new 3DS, should I give Break Record a chance? Im assuming Atlus is bringing it over of course.
Why didn't DS click with you out of curiosity?
I think it was the battles in general. Pacing felt really slow to me and attack exchanges felt tedious. Plus iirc, i had to deal with a dumbass npc that loved running to his/her death.
I knew skipping Devil Survivor 2 would pay off eventually.
Since most of the game is already translated, we should get this one fairly quickly, shouldn't we?

I don't think there's a big difference in battle speed, but the gameplay in DS2 is top class (even better than DS1). There are still a couple escort missions in DS2, but I never had a problem with them.
Overall, I'd say you should totally give this new game a try. Challenging, incredibly satisfying, great characters, story and music.
Is Devil Survivor Overclocked on the eShop? I loved the DS game, never got the 3DS version, might buy it tonight if it is there (since physical copies are a bitch to find).
It's not on the eshop, at least in NA.

I'm not talking about stereoscopic 3D, but 3D models.
