what screen shot? i couldn't find one. just what looks to be a photoshopped image of jeson with a wiiu gamepad

I don't know exactly. I'm trying to find which ones he means.

There's some on NintendoLife which look fairly poor. No idea if they're WiiU shots though.

Easy fella, I was just chuckling at the already conflicting information :)

But if you haven't played it, how are you concluding it has a lower resolution and "weak AA" from some screenshots?

I didn't/don't have an attitude, friend.. I was replying in the same tone I thought you had. :p

Anyway, in regards to lower resolution textures: again, look at the Final Fantasy 27 poster. I can easily crop it out and post it but I don't want to be THAT guy.
As for weak AA, I'm primarily a PC gamer and judging from the pictures, it seems pretty weak. I don't know how it compares to the other console versions' antialiasing though.

Granted, these things can change, considering these are the very first press shots of the game.

Click to embiggen. The actual gameplay portion of the screen is very close to 1280x720

sorry, misread your tone :)

Oh I see. I was asking specifically about the improvements compared to the other console versions (as mentioned in the article) - which we can't really tell from the resolution of a poster in a screen shot (if it is a wiiu screen shot, of course).

Never got to play this so I might get it. Gamepad features look great, but sucks that there seems to be no off-TV play.

As good as this version is, I have no interest in purchasing another copy of this already completed (plus DLC) game.

Newcomers though, I recommend this version to.

Huh, reading up it seems they actually improved a lot. I still think € 49,99 (lol yurop) is too much, but I'll get it when it hits the € 29,99 mark. I enjoyed the PC version a lot and with the new improvements/additions on Wii U, this will be fun.

You win this round Square-Enix.

Amazing game with what looks like some really nice additions for Wii U owners. It was so disappointing that I had to launch the Missing Link DLC separately with the PC version so it's nice to see them rectify that for Wi8i U owners.

Two gameplay elements that I'm wondering about though. Is all the in game hud and info moved off the main screen and to the pad? That would be a really nice way to present a clean gaming experience. I'm also wondering if they will still take away all of your leveled up abilities for the Missing Link DLC. I'm guessing they will have to due to the layout of the areas being built around a stand alone expansion.

Fantastic news for Wii U owners.

One of the best games of 2011. Classic.

I hope they soon announce the sequel.

I shall forever remember the reflective toilets.

You mean you completed the DLC and don't want to go over it again, or just that you don't want to buy it? Because this version includes both the Missing Link DLC, and the Tong's Son Pre-Order bonus mission.

Hopefully this version come to PC at some point. DE:HR was easily one of my favourite games this generation, but I've no intention of ever buying a WiiU just to play it.

Yeah, I've already completed all of the DLC, so there's not really any reason for me to purchase it again.

Put a 'load save' button on the Gamepad, now we're talking.
Edit: Incidentally, I would love to know how they'll fix up the boss at the News centre. She's obnoxiously aggressive. (And the hardest boss in the game imo)

This is pretty tempting, DE:HR is one of my favorite games this gen. I have the Augmented PC version but I'll still pretty annoyed with Square over how they only gave 1/2 the soundtrack with the Augmented Edition. This was the main reason why I bought the Augmented Edition in the first place.

That sounds cool. I played it a few times already though, so I don't think I'll play it again if the improvements are patched into the PC version.

so like... what are the odds this is just setting the soil for a next Deux Ex game on Wii U/other next gen consoles/PC?

Zero, right? >_>

I am actually contemplating getting this game if i do go through my backlog by then. I do have Revelations, and a handful of other games i was planning on purchasing in that timeframe. We will see how it goes.

Other systems? Sure. On the Wii U? Don't look forward to it. Even once the Wii U starts selling better I doubt it's getting any sequel.

I'm not paying full price because I own the 360 version but I will buy it for £20 to check out the new features and shit. I bet they haven't added a new game plus mode.

I would think AI changes, etc could. Though it depends if they are tweaked or completely redone. Integrating the extra missions might be harder as you have to buy those and not everyone has them. The Tong mission was a a preorder bonus and not sure if that is even for sale. They'd have to make a patch that looks to see if you have the extra missions and somehow add it into the base game. On the PC I think Missing Link is actually treated as a separate game you don't even access from within Deus Ex: Human Revolution itself. It launches separately.

The cost to patch something like this on the other consoles might also be a problem as suggested above. It also likely won't be smooth sailing either after the first patch so it might take a few to get it right. PC on the other hand this might not be a problem.

I also think that there's no way they'd give it away for free in a patch.

How would a new game plus mode even be implemented? There is no point.

I bought this on PS3 and only played up to the Chinese (?) city. I might be interested in purchasing this as a bargain title or part of a sale.

Don't own a Wii U yet, but if I had one, the most important thing would be

Pointer controls.

If there are no pointer controls = no buy.

Lazy man here. I did not get this game on PS3 or PC. Might be interested to pick this up on Wii U.
Can someone please describe this game to me. Is it good? Has good reviews.

More good games the better.

Ok, the game is actually sounding like the most complete package with some much needed tune-ups. It's definitely on my radar now.

Oh, and what does this game do online? I noticed the Nintendo Network logo. Is there multiplayer?
